It's hard to over-estimate the potential of Java on Mobile. Now that we have it working with GraalVM, all those great Java libraries can work on mobile as well, with JavaFX UI's. Huge opportunities.

From the release mail: "We’ve identified no P1 bugs since we promoted build 36 over five weeks ago". This is one of the reasons why Java is great. Quality is more important than hype if you care about the future.

If you're using JavaFX for your business applications, I highly recommend the commercial Gluon JavaFX 11 Long Term Support (LTS): Guaranteed availability and support for customers, and it helps us working on OpenJFX.

    2) Thank you very much to and everyone else involved in JavaFX 15! It is not often you see a team so dedicated to removing bugs, instead of just jumping on adding new features (which is more fun to do as a dev).

It's so great that the last thing you decide to try before calling it a day is suddenly making everything work. My phone is now doing matrix multiplications at high speed, using Java, JavaFX, GraalVM, ND4J, JavaCPP. This is the basis for much more...

I'm using Gluon Start () daily to quickly create new Java projects leveraging native-image and OpenJFX on mobile/embedded. Much cleaner than copying existing projects and manually editing pom and code. /cc

Initially, I was a bit sceptic about the 6 months release cadence, but I really love the predictability. You can now use JavaFX 15 with Java 11 and beyond. Lots of bugs are fixed, quality is improving with every release. Thanks for the hard work to all involved!

Java WORA is true again. Love that :) Indeed, mvn -P android will select the android profile, which sets the target to android, so that works too.

Warning: this is a very addictive game. Hard to explain to my kids that I have to keep playing this "as part of my job" :) Great work by JavaFX pioneer, Java Champion, Oracle Groundbreaker Ambassador Gail Anderson and family. This is Java on iOS and Android.

I'm awed all the work that is doing. Beautiful, dynamic, and responsive user interfaces are as crucial as ever. These days, they're even more vital on embedded devices where the user experience has to be excellent, no matter how crappy the network is.
