Hi 👋, I am Rohit.

I am an Integrated Masters(Bachelors + Masters) student in Mathematics & Computing at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. I am presently in my 5th Semester. I am passionate about open source and all things tech-related. My technical interests lie in Scientific Computing, C, C++ programming, and Data Structures & Algorithms. I am also exploring Natural Language Processing by being a part of Open-Source projects.

I am interested in the intersection of machine learning and systems. The real excitement of this area comes from what can enable when we bring advanced learning techniques and systems together. On that end, I am also pushing the direction on deep learning, knowledge transfer, and lifelong learning. I see open-source and internships as a great opportunity to improve myself. I do not just get to apply my skills but will also get to acquire new ones.

After completing the internship successfully it will also give me a sense of achievement. There is something very fulfilling about getting your first patch committed upstream in an organization that will be used by lots of people. I will also get to interact and share ideas with people. I want to make some friends from all over the world with whom I can discuss projects and get feedback on my code.
