    I'm interested in compiling a list of projects collecting Australian COVID-19 pandemic material for posterity. Basically curious to know what is out there. I've started a list below which I'm sure is incomplete. Any others?

    Organism of the day!

    Yipppeeee! First southern brown bandicoot caught in any of our long-term fire, climate and biodiversity sites since 2013. That’s over 56,000 trap nights of work since our last capture. So happy to see these amazing diggers are still getting around the Gariwerd landscape.

    The aviation industry will require proof of vaccination before letting Australians travel — if the gov don’t care about public health perhaps they can start records for tourism? ... it’s 1 June and Colbeck thinks vax will be done by “winter” — he’s dreaming of a white Xmas???

    I am absolutely speechless. The penny just dropped - this is why Colebeck this morning couldn’t say how many aged care workers are vaccinated.

    Oh FFS. Porter withdrew. No damages to be paid by the ABC and the report stands. Putting it in simple terms: Porter didn’t want the ABC’s evidence in the public domain. Pretty damning if you ask me.

    Christian Porter criticised the ABC In connection with the settlement of his defamation case against it. He can say or believe what he wants, but his reputation is trash. Speaking for myself, I believe that he is a terrible, immoral and grotesque human being

    Agreed. Also Christian Porter is still in the cabinet !? Why are you reporting that they settled? They did not settle. withdrew his hopeless action.

    I just watch and anyone who was watching would think Porter had a win. What is wrong with these taxpayer funded *reporters that they can't report facts He back down, he walked away, he lost his cases before it got to court. Simple fact.

    Victoria has had more than its "fair share" of Commonwealth support because it has copped more than its "fair share" of the responsibility for keeping all of Australia safe despite the complacency of Fed gov. We need more now because of Fed mistakes.

    This is a brave stand by — all players have a right to courteous treatment and media isn’t guaranteeing this. Some will always want to make a story out of making celebrities squirm. Is it appropriate (or even interesting) to enforce endless tedious interviews?

    Proper quarantine is especially important in Victoria... because it is *cold* here and being indoors accelerates aerial transmission. Please listen to our wonderful experts and stop politicising the pandemic 😷

    Quarantine is not 99.9% effective. 21,000 cases (70% of total cases) since border closure on 20 March '20 are directly & indirectly due to quarantine breaches & exemptions. Purpose-built quarantine facilities with rapid antigen testing on arrival & day-14 are required.
