Arizona State University West campus

Blending liberal arts education with 21st-century workforce preparation

The West campus of Arizona State University creates a learning community blending liberal arts education with 21st-century workforce preparation. This combination is exemplified by the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, and degree programs offered by the W. P. Carey School of Business, the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and the College of Health Solutions. The West campus is home to the first undergraduate degree to be offered by Thunderbird School of Global Management and a noted BS in forensic science through New College. Coming this fall, the College of Public Service and Community Solutions will offer new programs at the West campus.

The northwest Phoenix campus provides modern amenities in its residence halls, dining facilities, and the Sun Devil Fitness Complex and swimming pool. Subtropical landscaping, fountains and outdoor enclaves are third-space opportunities for students to socialize or collaborate while pursuing any of more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

West campus landmarks include the Albert Paley-designed entry gates, extensive public art, and at the center of campus, Fletcher Lawn. This commons is a contemporary homage to traditional university education, as is the Oxford-inspired architecture around it on the courtyard-fashioned campus.
