ASU is proud of our military veterans and feel it’s our duty to serve the men and women who served us. Through efforts like the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, ASU works hard to help veterans transition to life as an ASU student and help them succeed. Honoring student veterans at ASU

At the end of each semester, the Pat Tillman Veterans Center and the ASU Alumni Association recognize student veteran graduates with the Veterans Honor Stole Ceremony. Every year the ceremony grows larger, with more than 150 graduates and 700+ guests in attendance this year. It is a point of pride for our student veterans and their families.

Student spotlight: Tomas Robles

Tomas Robles, former Marine and 2019 ASU graduate, has transformed the nonprofit LUCHA with his bachelor’s degree in Chicana/o and Latina/o studies. Robles has had an amazing journey, from starting his first year at ASU in 2001 to enlisting in the Marines after 9/11 to graduating nearly ten years later. He is now working in grassroots community organizing, registering Arizona voters and creating a positive impact on his community. Read more about his story here.

 

 

Pat Tillman Veterans Center Honor Roll

To recognize those who have gone above and beyond to support members of our student veteran and military community, we’ve created the Pat Tillman Veterans Center Honor Roll.

Veteran, military and dependent students, and Pat Tillman Veterans Center employees are encouraged to nominate any ASU faculty or staff member, or other community member (including a parent, student, or other university or community college professor) who they believe is deserving of special recognition for their commitment to supporting the veteran and military community at ASU.

Honorees will receive a framed Honor Roll certificate and citation, and will be featured on the center’s social media accounts.
