Eric Maurice

Editor-in-Chief

Eric Maurice joined EUobserver in 2015. He was previously editor-in-chief of the European news site Presseurop. Originally from France, he worked as a journalist and editor for Courrier International after studying history of international relations and journalism in Paris.

Andrew Rettman

Foreign Editor

Andrew has been writing on foreign affairs for EUobserver since 2005. He is Polish and has a degree in English literature from Oxford University. He also contributes to The Guardian, The Telegraph and to Intelligence Online.

Nikolaj Nielsen

Journalist

Nikolaj joined EUobserver in 2012 and covers home affairs. He is originally from Denmark, but spent much of his life in France and in the US. He was awarded the King Baudouin Foundation grant for investigative journalism in 2010.

Peter Teffer

Journalist

Peter joined EUobserver in 2014 and covers energy, environment, transport and food. He is from the Netherlands, where he continues to write for Dutch media such as NRC Handelsblad. He studied journalism in Utrecht, Ottawa and Aarhus and political science in Amsterdam.

Eszter Zalan

Journalist

Eszter is from Hungary. She reported on conflict and war zones for Nepszabadsag, the largest Hungarian daily, for several years, and has also covered Hungary for Agence France Presse. Eszter joined EUobserver in 2015.

Matthew Tempest

Subeditor

Matthew joined EUobserver in June 2018. Previously he worked as a reporter for The Guardian in London, and as editor for AFP in Paris and DPA in Berlin.

Henner Sorg

Account Manager

Henner joined EUobserver in 2016. He is originally from Germany and has been educated at British universities. He has worked as a communications and policy officer in Brussels for over 10 years.

Atufa Ali

Business Administration

Atufa joined EUobserver in 2018. She is from Pakistan and was educated in France & Brussels. With a masters in finance, Atufa previously worked for a number of hotels and industries in Brussels as finance & payroll consultant.

Elie Bizimana

Sales Associate

Elie joined EUobserver in April 2018. He was educated in Belgium and Scotland where he studied Business Management, and graduated with a marketing honours degree. Prior to EUobserver Elie worked in administration, customer relations, sales and marketing.

Tobias Andreasen

Design and Creative

Tobias studied at The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark. He has worked for a number of clients in Denmark, including national newspapers and television networks, among others.

Martin Koch Andersen

Technologist

Martin has been with EUobserver since its inception. He is the creator of EUobserver's website and backend systems. He is based in Denmark and has a master's degree in software development from the IT University in Copenhagen.

Lisbeth Kirk

Founder

Lisbeth founded EUobserver in 2000 and is responsible for the organisation's editorial strategy, including cross-border and investigative journalism. After graduating from the Danish School of Media and Journalism, she worked as a journalist, analyst, and editor for Danish media, including Notat and Danmarks Radio.

Martin Moos

Martin joined the board in 2011. Based in Copenhagen, he is the founder and CEO of ColorClub, a graphic design firm with branches in Denmark, Sweden and Asia.

Paul Kidner

Paul leads the PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center, an NGO programme dedicated to supporting new businesses in Greece. He has developed and launched a platform to create sources of seed-funding for aspiring entrepreneurs. Paul has 20 years of experience in business development, innovation and social impact.

Saskia Horsch

Saskia joined EUobserver's board in 2014. She is Head of Public Policy for Germany and CEE at Amazon. A qualified lawyer with over 10 years of experience in public affairs, she previously worked for Brussels-based consultancy firms as well as for the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition.

Andras Baneth

Andras heads the Public Affairs Council's European office, the largest global association of public affairs professionals. He has worked in the European Commission and the European Court of Justice and wrote the bestselling 'The Ultimate EU Test Book'. Andras joined EUobserver's board in 2014.
