Over 10,000 objects from the Royal Collection are on long-term loan to more than 130 museums and galleries in the United Kingdom and abroad, including the British Museum, The National Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of London, the National Museum of Wales and the National Gallery of Scotland.
Over 250,000 objects in the Collection can now be browsed on the Royal Collection Trust's website.
St James's Palace was built by Henry VIII on the site of the Hospital of St. James, Westminster between 1531 and 1536.
