    Parents, find out if this exists in your district, and don't trust the teachers or administrators to be open and honest with you. They are *planning* to do this behind your back.

    I interviewed a teacher in Wisconsin who told me this practice is common in the public school district where he teaches. Teachers will help the student socially transition with opposite-gendered outfits and referring to them by a different name in class, w/o notifying parents

    Schools that have a "transition closet" are actively participating in the social transition of a child without their parent's knowledge or consent. This is a medical intervention that often leads to more invasive treatments like puberty blockers, hormones, and surgeries.

    Bingo.

    The normalization of homosexuality did not come close to resulting in a 2x increase of gay identification. But we are supposed to believe that a 100x increase is just revealing trans people who had to hide in the closet? No sociogenic dimension at all?

    What makes the current conversation about public ed so fraught is that many teachers no longer reflect their local communities. Universal values are not the same on the far left as they are in the middle or right, and the anti-humanism of climate catastrophe is a litmus test.

    These are quiz notes from a 6th grade science class as dictated to students by their teacher in Monterey County, CA during the 2018-2019 school year. "Have one or no children" was also, as expected, a correct answer on the quiz the teacher gave, which I was sent a copy of.

    It's hard to overstate how important this thread and the linked article are. Lawyers and representatives in the state want to change the law without your knowledge, push your children into trans ideology without your knowledge, and force you out of the process if you object.

    Parents, fight hard to elect representatives who will put laws in place to keep you as the guardian of your children. If you don't, the state will.

    This is truly a social experiment, and when the teachers and social scientists and politicians and psychologists have moved on, the parents will be left to pick up the pieces and love their children as they have from the moment they were born.

    Sooner or later we will have to do an autopsy on this social experiment tallying up the scale of the injury done to truly vulnerable, marginalized people by those posturing as their saviors -- culpability will be widely distributed across every institution

    An excellent analogue from recent history. Children are *impressionable* and will do and say nearly anything for the love and affirmation of an adult that they respect. Knowing this, adults who seek to break children away from their parents are rightly viewed as threats.

    Any time the company executives and spokespersons tell you "Disney cast members support..." and then list a political cause, you can bet with 100% confidence they are lying through their teeth. cast members are diverse and varied, not a monoculture.

    An excellent reminder from history of how the world of insular academic thought can spill out into the real world with horrifying consequences. The one bulwark that would have been uniquely powerful to resist this monstrosity... parents, with the power to tell the state "no".

    I actually do think that progressivism has a pedophile problem, historically speaking. But the best example of that problem is not gender ideology in American schools. It’s the German government in the 1970s.

    Parents cannot trust their schools. Getting trust back will require so much work now. It cannot be achieved by doubling down. Profound accountability will now be required as a first step, and it will take a generation after that.
