How GREENbike Works

Follow these easy steps

Get an Annual Pass online or purchase a 24-hour Pass at any Bike Share station.

  1. GREENbike offers three types of memberships: 24-hour, 7-day, and Annual
  2. Only 24-hour passes can be purchased at stations (credit card required).
  3. Annual and 7-day memberships must be purchased online (credit card required).

Choose ANY GREENbike from any Bike Share station.

If you do not have a GREENbike card and have not yet purchased a membership:
  1. Press the 'Start' button.
  2. Follow the instructions on the touchscreen to purchase a 24-hour membership.
  3. When prompted, select the dock number of the bike you wish to check out.
  4. The the bike will beep until it is removed.
If you do not have a GREENbike card, but already have purchased a membership:
  1. Press the 'Start' button at the kiosk.
  2. Select 'No' when asked if you would like to purchase a membership.
  3. Follow the prompts on the touchscreen. When prompted, swipe the same credit card you bought your membership with.
  4. When prompted, select the dock number of the bike you wish to check out.
  5. The kiosk will unlock the bike from the dock you chose. The dock holding the bike will beep until the bike is removed.
If you have a GREENbike card:
  1. Choose one of the locked bikes.
  2. Press the silver button on the bike's dock.
  3. Touch your GREENbike card to the dock.

Ride

Take ENDLESS 30 minute trips with any GREENbike Pass.

  • Adjust your seat, put on your helmet, and go.
  • Take as many 30min. trips as you want and never pay a usage fee.
  • Usage fees only apply for rides longer than 30 minutes at a time (see Rates page).

Take UNLIMITED 30min. trips because GREENbike gets you from Point A to Point B.

If you're not riding, return your GREENbike to ANY Bike Share station so someone else can ride. That's sharing :)

Return the GREENbike to ANY Bike Share station. Then Take Another :)

  1. Return your bike to any GREENbike station by rolling it into an available dock.
  2. Wait for three rapid blinks of a green light and three quick beeps. That is your signal that the bike has been securely returned.
