ASTM Additive Manufacturing File Format (AMF)

This wiki contains information and resources regarding the new AMF File format. AMF is an official ASTM standard that describes a framework for a data interchange to address the current and future needs of additive manufacturing technology. AMF is an XML-based format designed to allow any design software to describe the shape and composition of any object to be fabricated on any 3D-printer. This format has been developped by ASTM Committee F42 on Additive Manufacturing Technologies, specifically the Task Group on File Formats.
