Gourock Outdoor Pool opens for the summer season at the beginning of May for a period of approximately 20 weeks.

Situated on the coastline at Gourock, this pool provides the opportunity of swimming in heated salt water taken from the River Clyde. The water is filtered and cleaned to the highest hygiene standards and is maintained at a minimum temperature of 84 degrees. There are spacious patio areas around the pool where you can relax or sunbathe with excellent views of the Clyde estuary.

Gourock Outdoor Pool originally opened in 1909 with major refurbishments in 1935 when the bather/spectator capacity was increased and in 1969 when a water heating system was installed. Over the last few years various items of pool plant machinery have been upgraded to maintain the excellent water quality and service to visitors. The pool continues to be a popular facility with locals, day trippers and tourists.

There are various fun activities programmed throughout the season. From pool parties and inflatable fun sessions to inflatable bouncers and great music. For the more serious swimmer there is designated swimming times for fitness programmed throughout the week.
