IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BRICKS!
Join the West Chester Railroad Heritage Association on the evening of June 6, 2026, for a memorable night of fun and fundraising in support of the exterior restoration of our historic Glen Mills station.
Built in 1882 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, this remarkable brick structure is a cherished piece of local history and a defining feature of the Delaware and Chester County landscape. Your support will help preserve the station and prevent further deterioration for generations to come.The evening begins with a scenic 30-minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills. Upon arrival, guests can explore the historic station, tour the trains, and enjoy the surrounding grounds.
Savor hors d'oeuvres and drinks from Kildare's Irish Pub's mobile bar, enjoy live music by The Old Slang Jazz Trio in a beautiful tented setting, and take a chance in our silent auction. After the gala at Glen Mills station, guests will board the train back to West Chester.Come celebrate history and help save it, one brick at a time.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with our Picnic Special! This regular weekly train features an extended one hour layover in Glen Mills. You'll have plenty of time to unwind and explore. Visit the historic Glen Mills Station, spread out a blanket in our scenic picnic grove along Chester Creek, or take a short stroll to nearby Red Brick Winery for a tasting experience or to Punctuate Your Style for unique interior design ideas. It's the perfect way to enjoy great scenery, local flavor, and a classic train ride all in one charming outing.
