GREEN WIN STEINBRECHER SEMIFINAL IN CAROLINA
After 90 scoreless minutes, Vermont Green took down Hickory FC 5-4 on penalties in the 2026 Steinbrecher Cup semifinal.
The Green converted all five of their spot kicks before goalkeeper Seth Wilson made the decisive save to send Vermont through. It was a chippy match in a hostile environment that saw Hickory receive nine yellow cards and one red card.
The Green will be play Pennsylvania’s West Chester United in Burlington on June 5th at 7pm. Tickets will go on sale Monday at 10am.

The Women in Green braved the elements—including an hour lightning delay—to secure the 2026 Maple Cup in a 2-0 victory over Quebec’s Lakeshore SC.
Hannah Kroupa and Annie Gnidula found the back of the net on either side of halftime and Blythe Braun kept a clean sheet in goal. Allez Les Verts!
