Session Summary

This session is designed to help the Women’s Program community understand all the rule changes that were approved at the 2026 annual committee meetings. You’ll hear directly from members of the Administrative, Technical, and Development Program committees as they walk through the key updates — including changes to the Rules and Policies, the Development Program Code of Points, the Compulsory Book, and the Operating Code. These updates will take effect for the upcoming 2026-2027 competition season, so this is a great chance to get clear on what’s new.

Vault Mechanics: The Basics are the Basis

Session Summary

Vault is the event of the shortest duration and the most difficult assessment. It is a no-frills event. It is all about the business of mechanics and understanding the basics and most importantly, being able to apply it to every family and every flavor of vaults. We will examine the fundamentals of beginner levels and following through to the most advanced vaults. We will also talk about “where the eyes focus” in order to see as much of the core areas of evaluation as possible.

Session Summary

Front salto vaults are emerging in greater numbers, both for variety and as attractive options for NCAA programs. This lecture will look at models and multiple varieties of execution, examine mechanics and performance qualities, and discuss evaluations.
