Two years ago, 10 minutes before my code access was cut off to on my last day working at Discord, I added an easter egg into the app.
I had to get another engineer to promote it to stable since my access cut off mid-merge.
Two years later, I'm surprised it's still there haha.
Three years ago, I cold-emailed @jasoncitron and landed an internship at Discord while in high school.
He responded in 30 minutes. Sending that email changed my life forever :)

discord culture is awesome imo, where you can do random stuff like this as an engineer that could end up on socials.
It's an interesting concept, but with the environmental impact, and the amount of spam and scams, the problems outweigh the benefits here.
Also, Discord already runs in carbon-neutral servers, don't mess that up with this!
