CNN just announced that Wednesday was the network's most-watched day in its history, averaging 9 million viewers from 2:30-6:30 p.m. ET, and 5.2 million for the 24-hour day (3 a.m.-3 a.m. ET).

Inbox: After just two episodes, CNN announces that it has picked up Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy for a second season. The second original episode was the No. 1 show on all of cable news this past Sunday.

New: According to Nielsen data, Fox News averaged 1,504,429 primetime viewers last week, while MSNBC averaged 1,520,857 primetime viewers. Barring a last-second data reporting change, Fox's 120 week-long winning streak in primetime appears to be over.

Fox News has been the most-watched cable news network in primetime for 120 straight weeks. Interestingly, MSNBC averaged more weekday primetime viewers this past week than Fox (1.83M vs. 1.73M). That said, FNC usually dominates weekends. Final weekly data arrives tomorrow.

CNN announces it has been the No. 1 cable news network in average total viewers and adults 25-54 since Nov. 4. Among adults 25-54, CNN has been No. 1 for 32 straight days, its longest winning streak in 19 years, dating back to 9/11/2001.
