- Breather Boss: The second boss is far easier than the first one. He is stuck on the ground for half of the time, unlike you and most enemies, and only has one type of projectile that merely fires forward. And he is around the time your firepower becomes formidable if you don't die.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The Final Boss looks like Ganondorf from the Zelda series if he was a praying mantis... despite predating his humanoid form for almost ten years!
- Narm: The bosses have some expressions that are impossible to take seriously when they die. Especially the last one.
- Nintendo Hard: Do not be fooled by how cute this game looks. Very often the screen is filled with enemy shots, all of which can kill you in one hit. There is also Checkpoint Starvation, so each mistake has serious consequences.
- That One Attack:
- The third boss has two projectiles. The fireballs are easy, since they are fast but go to a straight line and have a sound effect. It's the dust clusters that are a pain to deal with, since they are hard to see, about ten at once, and fired at random places, meaning you can get hit anywhere, anytime.
- The Final Boss has only one type of projectile: a fiery one that stops in mid-air before going straight at you, wherever you are, at very high speeds. Stop moving and you die. No wonder he needs nothing else.
