  • Alternative Character Interpretation: How much Eun-Mi does or doesn't care about Harvey isn't really clear.
    • On the one hand, she does put his consciousness into what is basically an interactive snuff film to earn money and refuses to let him out even when he begs her to. On the other hand, her horrified reactions to Harvey's increasingly gruesome injuries (as well as if you neglect to feed him, causing him to have died when Eun-mi turns on the game on day 5) and distress over the reset function not working suggest that she genuinely didn't want him to be actually harmed and thought resetting his memories would ensure he wouldn't come away with either mental or physical scars.
    • Then there's her being shocked and devastated over his eventual suicide which she is shown trying to prevent him from going through with. Is it because she actually does love him and is now confronted with just how horrible what she's put him through was, and the fact she can now never see him again? Or is she just upset that she not only lost her source of income but has been exposed for her abuse online?
    • The "Save Harvey" minigame adds another layer of ambiguity. Aside from the fact that it's unwinnable, it's appearance after Harvey loses an eye and creepy nature implies that Eun-Mi feels guilty and genuinely does want to help her husband, but might be sabotaging herself subconciously because she thinks it's too late to turn back now.
    • It should be noted that her Freudian Excuse (owing a large debt) also mirrors the protagonist's motivation in "BLOODMONEY!" (needing money for an operation). However, the bad ending of "BLOODMONEY!" reveals that the protagonist didn't need the operation at all. Given that Eun-Mi almost certainly wrote that detail in, it could be a sign of her subconsciously admitting that her justification is a load of crap.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: On Day 5 you unlock a free minigame titled "Save Harvey". It has a much darker and creepier atmosphere than the other games, with the player having to protect a mini- Harvey from realistic floating eye-balls. And it's impossible to win. Neither Eun-Mi nor Harvey acknowledge it and playing it doesn't change a thing about the story.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: The Whack-a-Harvey mini-game has you whack the little Harveys that pop out of the holes, and successfully whacking a Harvey causes him to explode in a splatter of blood. It's also implied by the fact that the Harvey in the minigame loses his eye at the same time as the main one that this is Harvey being whacked, and not just a representation of him. The horrific implications of the fact that Eun-Mi is playing a mini-game where she's whacking her husband is somewhat mitigated by the hilariously high-pitched death scream each Harvey lets out when you kill him and the fact that Harvey still gains Mood from this as if it were just an ordinary activity.
  • Fridge Horror: Once Toby finds out what his mother was really doing and the truth behind his father's disappearance and eventual death, there's going to be a lot of unpleasant emotions to come, added with the fact that his family got doxxed at the end. The ensuing fallout and trauma the kid's going to suffer because of his mom's actions is going to scar him for life.
  • Realism-Induced Horror: Underneath a story about Brain Uploading and its horrifying implications, there's also a more grounded story of Domestic Abuse, as Eun-Mi uses Harvey to earn money, all while constantly lying to him so that he thinks that the situation isn't as bad as it is. It's very reminiscent about how, in real life, people can be abused by their family members by either being used as a mere source of money, or being forced to work in bad conditions for free. Even Eun-Mi's regret after Harvey's suicide is true to real life, as some abusers express remorse about the things they do to their own family, even if they often go right back to abuse.
  • She Really Can Act: Abigail Kim’s acting as Eun-Mi has been widely praised on YouTube.
  • The Woobie: Harvey manages to embody this trope even more here than he did in the first game. For one, it's revealed that the horribly traumatic scenario he goes through in BLOODMONEY! is a game his wife programmed and put his conciousness into without his knowledge. And it's extremely popular, meaning Harvey is getting tortured by multiple people several times every night. Then it turns out he remembers being tortured despite Eun-Mi resetting his memory, though he at first believes the horrific events to be nightmares. Then he gradually realizes that said "nightmares" were real, that his beloved wife whom he trusted enough to let her take him out of his body is behind everything, and that she was planning to profit off his suffering while keeping him in the dark about it for who knows how long. He eventually goes insane from the constant torture and the grief over Eun-Mi's betrayal and forces his program to shut down, basically committing the computer program version of suicide, because he believes it's the only option to escape the torment for good.
