Thea Trinidad (Wrestling)
La Muñeca.
The Puerto Rican Nightmare.
The Queen of Timetus Mortem.
Thea Megan Trinidad (born December 27, 1990) is a Puerto Rican actress, model, professional wrestler, singer and Zumba instructor from Queens, New York. She is currently signed to WWE, where she performs under their SmackDown brand as Zelina.

She began her training as a wrestler at age 17 and was trained by Javi-Air, T.J. Perkins, Tony Salazar, Hijo del Gladiador and Azrieal.

In addition to WWE, Trinidad is known for her time in TNA from 2011 to 2013, where she performed as Rosita, the storyline cousin of Sarita (with whom she held the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles once) and member of the stable Mexican America. After the stable disbanded, Trinidad was Put on a Bus until her departure from TNA was announced, after which she started wrestling in independent promotions as Divina Fly. She also had a few brief stints in WSU and WWE in 2013 and 2014 as one of Adam Rose's "Rosebuds", appearing again in 2016 to put over Asuka. She made a one-night return to TNA in 2015 as a wrestler, in addition to a few appearances as Austin Aries' valet during the pre-taped World Title Series.

In 2017, she signed a contract with WWE to perform under the name "Zelina Vega", first debuting in WWE NXT as the valet of Andrade "Cien" Almas. Both were called up to the SmackDown roster in 2018, and she would twice be drafted over to Raw and back to SmackDown over the next two years. She was suddenly released on November 13, 2020 due to a dispute over main roster wrestlers being banned from having relationships with third parties such as Twitch and YouTube. She would make a surprise return to WWE as a heel on the July 2nd, 2021 edition of SmackDown. On April 25, 2025, she defeated Chelsea Green to win the WWE Women's United State Championship.

For her acting career, she has appeared in films (short and feature), most notably The Witches of Oz and Fighting with My Family (playing fellow wrestler AJ Lee in the latter).

Not to be confused with the short-lived sitcom Thea or Slavic Mythology-themed video game Thea: The Awakening.

Mexican-American Tropes

  • Amazonian Beauty: Placed tenth out of 38 in the WBFF fitness competition.
  • Batter Up!: Trinidad usually carries a bat outside of matches, to keep undesirables at a distance.
  • Battle Couple: She joins forces with her real life husband, Aleister Black after helping him defeat Damian Priest in their last man standing match.
  • Being Personal Isn't Professional: While she served as a manager for Andrade and Angel Garza at WWE, she maintains that her relationship with each man is strictly business even when they're on the opposite end of her husband. Presumably the same goes for Austin Theory and Legado del Fantasma.
  • Berserk Button: Water bottle crinkling, repeated Latina jokes or jokes about her height.
  • Big Applesauce: She's from Queens, New York.
  • Boisterous Weakling: Talks a lot of trash, but usually ends up being defeated easily without help.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Check out her YouTube videos. Or her tweets.
  • Cosplay Otaku Girl: Thea is extremely fond of Cosplaying on her Instagram, dressing as characters including Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Jade. When she made her entrance into the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble as Zelina Vega, she came out wearing a blank metal plate mask and a long fighting claw on her right hand- in other words, she was dressed as Vega.
  • Face–Heel Turn: On the October 10 episode of SmackDown, Vega assisted her real-life husband Aleister Black defeat Damian Priest in a Last Man Standing match turning heel for the first time since 2023.
  • Finishing Move: A Moonsault.
  • Foreign Wrestling Heel: As a member of Mexican America.
  • Fragile Speedster: Has stated that she wants to be the female Rey Mysterio, and it'd have to be Jr she's talking about, as the original was a heavyweight and Divina Fly is not. Not even compared to other women.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: In Mexican America at least, and a little in SHINE. Not so much in real life.
  • Happily Married: To Aleister Black.
  • Hot-Blooded: Well, she's more "perky", and was probably the most level headed Sicaria, but is really easy to set off all the same.
  • I Have Many Names: Thea Trinidad (her real name), Rosita (her TNA name), Divina Fly (her indies name), Zelina Vega (her NXT/WWE name).
  • I Know Karate: She practices kickboxing.
  • Kid-Appeal Character: She spent most of her TNA career as something far less flattering, but being so small, this has been her role most of her career. All she needs is a brightly colored mask, a la Rey Mysterio or Command Bolshoi.
  • The Lad-ette: She doesn't do the "girly girl" thing too well..., although she tried alongside Sarita at first. After her contract with TNA was up she got a leather jacket and baseball bat. Then she joined quartet of alcohol loving alleyway cleaners.
  • Lady Macbeth: Her role in NXT as Zelina Vega. Her appearance as Andrade "Cien" Almas's valet snapped him out of a losing streak and also brought out a much more vicious, aggressive side to his personality.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She is a model, after all— Thea has done many photoshoots in her career, and wears very flashy outfits when wrestling/managing.
  • The Napoleon: Established in her SHINE debut when she took down Stormie Lee for making a crack about her height. Raquel exploited it to help (The)Culture Shock retain the tag team titles by directing Trinidad at a member of another challenging team, Amber O'Neal, who called her "fun size".
  • Over-the-Shoulder Carry: Generally how someone will carry her away from a fight— if it's her allies, it's usually while Thea is pitching a fit. If it's her enemies, it's because they defeated her and are taunting her.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She is barely five feet tall, but is a Knockout tag team champion and has pinfall victories over noticeably larger wrestlers like Winter. Power really is not her stock-in-trade, though.
  • Power Stable:
    • Las Sicarias trio of Ivelisse, Amanda Rodriguez and La Rosa became one upon her and Mercedes Martinez's entry.
    • Joined Legado Del Fantasma upon their call-up to the WWE main roster in 2022, and remained part of the group after Rey Mysterio Jr. rebranded them the lWo.
  • Put on a Bus: Her TNA contract expired.
  • Ricky Morton: To set up Sarita.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Received a quick release in late 2020 when WWE implemented a controversial decree declaring all talent shut down their channels with third-party platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and OnlyFans, allowing use only if it was in partnership with the company (read: they could take a cut of the profit). While most talent dutifully went along, Thea simply refused on principle, even defiantly creating a new OnlyFans account after the decree had gone out. She played along to extent of making sure to remove mentions of her WWE name, but was still promptly released, generally believed by most to be what she'd intended to happen.
  • Signature Move: The fly cutter.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Was only in TNA for two years, never really did anything significant in the ring, and was inactive for the last few months, but was voted #31 out of the fifty best single female wrestlers by PWI as well as "Inspirational Wrestler of the Year" in 2011 and has a pretty decent Internet following despite her short term.
  • Spicy Latina:
    • A Mexican who wants to see a Mexican takeover of the 50 states? You were expecting Rosita not to qualify? In SHINE Trindad's temper was the first thing established about her, a tendency to taunt in Spanish second, both even before she was identified as a Puerto Rican and joined a stable already full of such Latinas. And in NXT, she became the fire behind the ingobernable success and attitude of Andrade "Cien" Almas.
    • Not just on-screen, but off-, refusing to adhere to WWE demanding all talent turn over their third-party platform channels to the company, and as the news was literally breaking she had been released, fired off one last defiant tweet, simply stating "I support unionization."note  As noted above, she also has quite the potty mouth when streaming.
  • Tag Team: The Fly Girls with Niya (Barela), "Las Primas" with Sarita.
  • Trrrilling Rrrs: Befitting her Spicy Latina persona and the fact that she's fluent in Spanish, she's an expert at rolling her Rs, usually when speaking of Andrade, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo. She's even implored WWE backstage interviewers to do so.
  • Unrelated Brothers: Or Unrelated Cousins. She and Sarita are not related in real life, but she is a cousin of Amazing Red, Joel and Jose Maximo (The Spanish Announce Team).
  • The Vamp: Subverted as Eric Young was unaffected by her and Sarita.
  • Wrestling Family: She is a cousin of Amazing Red and The Spanish Announce Team (Joel and Jose Maximo), and is married to Aleister Black.

Alternative Title(s): Zelina Vega, Divina Fly, Rosita
