- Disgusting Public Toilet: Apparently, they are so disgusting, that a peaceful alien decided to wage war on earth after visiting one.
- Driven to Suicide: Kevin gave his girlfriend a personal and hand-made present as a gift... and another friend gave her a Nintendo Wii, after which, Kevin decided to commit suicide after being outclassed like that.
- Evil Counterpart: Indie Kevin, who first appears in this strip, and he eventually evolves into a "bad conscience" to keep Kevin unmotivated and depressed.
- Medium Awareness: Kevin has a huge contest coming on, and he starts training to the tune of Eye of the Tiger while he is drawing, while he is running... and while he is sleeping, at which point Kevin yells to just shut up already.
- Mondegreen Gag: Kevin mishears the lyrics to "Eye of the Tiger" and is called out on it thus ruining his mood in this strip.
