  • Halal intentionally runs into the clerk of a clothing outlet she is trying to steal from to get her attention, so that she can make the clerk feel bad for her and give her new clothes.
  • Marian loses her glasses at a royal banquet, and accidentally runs into the King himself.
• Crocodile Tears: When Hoia discovers Halal spying on a private conversation with the King regarding military affairs, Halal uses fake tears to trick her into believing that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. In fact, she was intentionally snooping around areas of the royal palace that she knew were off-limits to the public.
• Dances and Balls: Since Haboru will be crowned King as soon as he graduates from high school, a ball is held at the beginning of his senior year for all his classmates and various other high-society people to find potential candidates to be his Queen.
• Dull Eyes of Unhappiness
  • Ever since Halal accidentally killed Oath, Aria falls into a deep depression, and loses all love for her daughter. This depression causes her eyes to lose their lustre.
  • When Halal Masa publicly rejects Haboru’s proposal, he is deeply heartbroken, which is visually represented in his dull, reflectionless eyes.
• Dramatic Wind: Megumi Rioga’s hair can be seen dramatically blowing in the wind as she sits on the railing of a bridge, waiting for her confrontation with her sister Halal to arrive.
• Dreaming of Times Gone By: Halal dreams of her past life when her twin sister Megumi was chosen to be Queen instead of her. In her confusion, she mistakes Oath for her previous father when he comes to wake her. She instinctively transforms into her royal form, causing an explosion that kills him instantly.
• Five-Finger Discount: A two-year-old Halal Masa’s mother ditches her while shopping at the mall to replace clothes lost when their house burned down. Since Halal doesn’t have any money, she decides to use magic to steal new clothes instead.

• Girly Girl: Megumi Masa’s wardrobe is entirely made up of frilly pink dresses, bows, high heels, and with Girlish Pigtails to complete the look.
• Good Wings, Evil Wings: While the kind and selfless Megumi’s transformation has white wings like an Angel, her violent and self-centered twin sister Halal has black wings. When Halal Rioga is reincarnated as Halal Masa, her wings begin to change.
  • The first time Halal Masa transforms, she has one black and one white wing, symbolizing that she is currently at a moral crossroads.
  • In the second instance, Halal has since worked to be more kind to her family and behave unselfishly. Reflecting that, her wings turn from pure black to pure white.
• Green Means Natural: Raslina specializes in nature magic. Before Halal started tutoring her, the only two spells she knew were both plant-based. Not only does she have green eyes, but every single outfit she wears incorporates green as a major colour.
• Green Thumb: Raslina has a knack for using magic to grow plants.
• Happy Flashback: Flashbacks show that despite facing constant comparison, Halal Rioga and Megumi were in fact quite close as children, with Megumi continuing to care for Halal as an adult despite their conflict. This serves to contrast the rather more rocky relationship between the reincarnated Halal Masa and Megumi shown in the following scene. In the present, the roles have been reversed, with their relationship being All Take and No Give on Megumi’s end.
• Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Haboru always wears his hair covering one of his eyes. This is because he has . When he meets Halal Masa, she inspires him to learn more about her, and he starts styling his hair differently, symbolically showing that he has gotten over his bitter feelings of abandonment towards her.
• I Have No Daughter!: Ever since Halal accidentally killed her own father, Aria has lost all love for her. She even goes as far as to claim that although she gave birth to Halal, Halal’s sister Megumi is her only daughter.
• Incest-ant Admirer: Prince Haboru has a crush with Halal Masa, and as such wants to make her his Queen. While this would normally be every girl’s dream, unbeknownst to him, she is actually the Reincarnation of his mother, Halal Rioga, and has retained all memories of her past life. As such, she very much sees him as a son, and finds the idea of being with him utterly nauseating.
• Invisibility: Halal casts an invisibility spell so that she can sneak back into the royal palace undetected.

He believes that in a way his mother is always with him as long as he wears the necklace. It later allows the reincarnated Halal Masa to recognise him as her son.
