A Nintendo 3DS game based on the series was digitally released via the Nintendo eShop on May 2, 2013, to negative critical reviews.
Bear Shark contains examples of:
- Butt-Monkey: Steve always gets eaten or scared.
- Downer Ending: Every episode ends with Steve being swallowed whole by Shark. Always Played for Laughs.
- Every Episode Ending: Despite the fact that they both clearly intended to eat him, every episode ends with Shark swallowing Steve whole before he and Bear do a celebratory high five.
- Everyone Has Standards: The fake Next Time On segment from the episode "Space" has the titular duo attempt to eat their hapless victim again after popping out of his closet. This causes Steve to have a heart attack and seemingly die, making the two horrified with what they did and leave without even trying to eat him.
- Hope Spot: Almost every segment has Steve think he's finally free of the two, only for them to outsmart him and Shark to swallow him whole.
- Mime and Music-Only Cartoon: The series has no dialogue.
- Shout-Out: The whole series revolves around a duo of a bear holding a shark. Sound familiar?
- They Killed Kenny Again:
- Steve gets eaten every episode.
- In one episode, the Bear and the Shark die and become ghosts.
- Villain Protagonist: A Bear and a Shark eat people, and also happen to be co-stars of the show.
