Wise Legend

Go To

A Distant Sequel to the Wise Legacy triology. A century has passed since the last game and now Hades sets out to terrorize the world. However, a small group led by Lieutenant Kelly start to investigate after their allies were slaughtered by one of Hades' men.

  • Abusive Parents: One of Kelly's foster fathers beat her up or worse.
  • Back from the Dead: Abraham Cain is revived by Hades for bringing him enough "blood sacrifices".
  • Big Bad: Hades, the Greater-Scope Villain of the second game is now the main villain.
  • Co-Dragons: Three of them. The most direct is Barton, the right-hand-man of Hades. And both General Bolton and Abraham Cain serve as an Arc Villain to separate the heroes to catch the new ones. After their first defeat the last two return to their worshiped god and become the first of two bosses during the second-to-last dungeon.
  • Cult: There's one led by Abraham Cain, who sacrifices humans in the name of his deity.
  • Distant Sequel: Set about a century after the last game and focusing on a new group.
  • Everybody Hates Hades: The current evil deity in named Hades and apart from his minions everyone in the game wants him gone.
  • Face Your Fears: In the Bonus Dungeon next to the final level, one demon gives the heroes a vision of their worst fears.
  • God and Satan Are Both Jerks: Odin and Loke were Gods who caused at least two devastating wars for fun, Apollon wanted to wipe out humanity, Argos had with the help of his followers cities wiped out and Hades, the game series' Satanic Archetype also wants everyone who doesn't worship him wiped out and approves of a cult sacrificing innocents in his name.
  • Implied Rape:
    • It's implied Kelly was raped as a child in the past. Version 1.02 is far less subtle since it has her strip before four other men before they take her to the room above and then beating sounds are heard. It's removed in Version 1.2.
    • While done more subtle, it's also implied the leader of the thieves in Cassie's illusion planned to do this to her regularly.
  • Pragmatic Adaptation: Kelly doesn't get raped in Version 1.2 as a child and switches her fear with Rico's, who instead sees his son being killed by a Monster Clown.
  • Rape as Backstory: Kelly says that as a child, her parents were murdered by bandits, she was then adopted by a man who beat her up with the implication of her being raped. Version 1.02 makes the scene even worse in that the foster father had her strip in front of him and four other men for 200 Gold before they go up and then beating sounds are heard. One scene later comes the abuse scene directly from him. In turn she murdered him and was adopted by nobles so she could join the military. And since she's an official, she's terrified the king would find out and have her imprisoned for it.
    • Version 1.2, however, removes it and instead has her simply watch Hades' terror reign.
  • Satanic Archetype: Hades is referred to as the god of the underworld and is the Big Bad of this game.
