This time, Gussun's back is packed! More stages! The battle system is even more powerful!
"This time around, Gussun and Oyoyo are hanging out on an island for vacation. But then a volcano erupts and the island starts to sink! Oh no! George and Emily hope that you survive!"
A sequel to Super Gussun Oyoyo released exclusively on the SNES as it was aging at the time. Just like its precursor, the game involves stacking up falling blocks to get Gussun and Oyoyo to safety from the hazards such as monsters and rising water the moment they reach the exit. The game has a tropical island setting where a volcano is active and Gussan must travel caverns in order to escape from it alive. The game utilizes levels made for it with a nasty surprise for players and brings back unlimited continues following that feature's absence in the SNES version of the first game. It also implements a similar system of power ups to the first game.— Hardcore Gaming 101 on the game's plot
It also utilizes a new versus mode where one player must try to avoid getting fried by rising lava as opposed to water. One player can send block that cannot break to their opponent as well as trying to bomb them. There is also a newly implemented puzzle mode where the player must utilize their intelligence to get the blocks planted into place in an attempt to reach the exit with things starting easy enough on the first two levels, but will get trickier starting with level 3.
