Friday Night Funkin': Pibby Corrupted
is a Game Mod for the aforementioned game, crossing over with action-horror Meta Fictional animation Pibby — and by extension, the rest of the cartoon multiverse, including Steven Universe, Regular Show, and Adventure Time.
The world of Friday Night Funkin' has found itself invaded by the glitchy substance known as The Darkness, with Boyfriend being one of the survivors who later meets up with Pibby, who similarly found herself as an only survivor of the apocalyptic invasion. Joining together with Pibby, Boyfriend must now face off against the various assimilated, zombie-like opponents the only way he knows how: rapping and singing against them.
Not to be confused with other Pibby-related FNF mods that came out as a result of the teaser animation, recursive to this one or otherwise.

This mod contains the following tropes:
- Boss Banter: A good number of songs feature dialogue from the opponents, with their lines being taken directly from their original source material. Of them, Steven is the one who talks the most consistently.
- Bottomless Magazines: Averted. Boyfriend has ten bullets per song and presumably reloads during the transitions to the next.
- Clipped-Wing Angel: Steven's buff form from "Fragments" ultimately ends up as this. Despite the background rapidly glitching out, the actual chart itself starts dwindling on any notes that cause the screen to corrupt after his first verse in his new form, meaning his health drain is far less devastating. Combined with him losing his shield (meaning Boyfriend can use his gun to regain health), and the transformation ultimately ends up becoming far less intimidating than how he started.
- The Cover Changes the Meaning: "Glitched Gem" takes cues from Steven's opening verse of "Who We Are". Instead of Steven getting upset at Spinel for her rejuvenation of the Crystal Gems, it's instead him blaming Pibby for the Darkness taking over his world.
Just a second ago, we were singing this song
And now, they're gone because of her
Happily ever after, there we were...
- Duels Decide Everything: Like most other opponents in Friday Night Funkin', modded or otherwise, Boyfriend and Pibby go unscathed after the rap battle with the corrupted characters is over. Word of God claims that this is actually an Invoked Trope, with Girlfriend having sacrificed herself to give Boyfriend a Darkness-proof barrier that will only go down if he loses a rap battle.
- Eyes Do Not Belong There: In her up pose, a cluster of eyes can be seen in the mouth of Minnie Mouse.
- Facial Horror: While most opponent's faces go relatively unchanged, a few of them have been modified to unnerving degrees.
- Finn's mouth stretches to unusual levels. While it looks fine on his brother Jake, it does not look normal on a regular human being.
- Bubblegum hides her face in her idle, and for good reason. When she's singing, most of her poses show that her face is melting.
- SpongeBob is able to canonically afford messing with his face, as it's normal shenanigans for him, but the results are far from pretty due to the Darkness taking over his body. While singing, he can split open his face or jam his hands right into his eyes.
- Timmy's entire face splits open during his down pose, and unlike Princess Bubblegum or SpongeBob, he is a human. It doesn't help that his face splitting is arguably the most extreme of the three who do so.
- Fearless Fool: Averted in V1. Boyfriend, who's normally this in the base game and some other mods, has witnessed what had happened to his home world and lost Girlfriend as a result. Thus, he's more aware of the danger he faces than usual, even as he raps against his foes like he usually does. That being said, Boyfriend goes back to being confident in the mod's V1.5 update.
- Gameplay and Story Integration: If Corrupted Girlfriend is the main opponent, shooting does not work, with the bullet counter only saying "I can't..." in response. Makes sense, considering given their relationship.
- The Gunslinger: Boyfriend has become this trope before the events of this mod. Pressing the spacebar during a song will cause Boyfriend to fire at his opponent, giving him back a good chunk of his health.
- Interface Screw: Shaders notwithstanding, Jake is capable of using his arms to block the player's strumline, and thus any incoming notes.
- Life Drain:
- Most opponents passively drain Boyfriend's health when singing, with the effect becoming stronger whenever their songs start to glitch out. The only one who doesn't have this is Corrupted Girlfriend.
- Jake is able to grab onto Boyfriend's icon and slide it backwards to try to drain the latter's health further.
- Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Steven has a shield for the majority of his songs, with him finally dropping it halfway through "Glitched Gem". Shooting Steven when his shield is up will cause him to block it, granting Boyfriend no extra health and wasting the bullet.
- Mirror Boss: Most of the opponents can drain Boyfriend's health while singing their own notes, akin to Boyfriend's natural health recovery when singing. Doubly true (and quite literally) for the alternate Boyfriend himself, who not only has this ability, but can push Survivor Boyfriend's health back the farthest and the fastest.
- Monochromatic Eyes: Nearly every single opponent in the mod has solid white eyes, indicating that they have lost nearly all control of their body. The only exception is Vicky, who keeps her pupils. According to the composer of "Wish Come True", Vicky was actually given a chance to keep her mind if she started spreading the Darkness, to which she gladly accepted.
- Mythology Gag:
- During SpongeBob's breakdown during "Ready or Not", he holds up a copy of Mr. Krabs and strangles him, serving as a recreation of the scene where the audio comes from.
- Jenny's icons are modeled after the logo of her show.
- Non-Action Guy: Pibby herself, who spends most of Boyfriend's rap battles like a Deer in the Headlights, standing next to Boyfriend staring in horror at the opponent. Finally averts this in V1.5's "House of Mouse".
- And Now for Someone Completely Different: "Black Mark" and "Treasure Island" do not feature Boyfriend, but instead follow the titular Ivashka from Ivashka from Pioneers Palace as he faces off against Dr. Livesly. Considering how the songs were done as a crossover with fellow mod Soveit Cartoons, it's justified that they follow that mod's protagonist instead.
- Ornamental Weapon: Despite wielding her Gem Rejuvenator, Spinel does not use it at all whenever she is on stage. Justified due to it only working on Gems in her home universe.
- Pre-Asskicking One-Liner:
- Steven lets out one during the beginning of "Glitched Gem". After the song's slow start, the health drain becomes much stronger.Steven: "You're right... I have been holding back!"
- Vicky lets out one at the beginning of "Wish Come True", seemingly embracing her role as a spreader of the Darkness.Vicky: "Nothing can stop me now! Mwahahahaha!"
- Steven lets out one during the beginning of "Glitched Gem". After the song's slow start, the health drain becomes much stronger.
- Sinister Silhouettes: During the beginning of "Ready or Not" SpongeBob seems normal, if not for the fact that he is depicted entirely as a silhouette. Once the shadow drops, it quickly becomes apparent that SpongeBob was controlled the entire time.
