Tropes:
- An Ice Person: The Frostmaw is a large yeti-like beast with the ability to breathe ice, defeating it drops an Ice Crystal that can be used to recreate its ice breath.
- Attack Its Weak Point: The Ferrous Wroughtnaut is normally invincible but when it strikes the ground with its axe, you can damage it by attacking the diamond sword embedded in its back.
- Dishing Out Dirt: The Geomancer Staff, which you can rarely find in the Earthrend Monastery, lets you launch small blocks of earth. Passing Tongbi's parkour test will reward you with the Earthrend Gauntlet, which not only lets you summon larger boulders, but if timed properly can let you ride on said boulders.
- Fat Bastard: Umvuthi is an obese bird who leads the Abavuthana and while he can only sit on his throne, he will attack anyone who comes near who isn't a fellow Abavuthana.
- Feathered Fiend: The Abavuthana are mask-wearing bird enemies that attack fellow animals.
- Light Is Not Good: The Abavuthana have sun-related theming and are aggressive to anyone who isn't them.
- Malevolent Masked Men: The Abavuthana are a tribe of birds wearing masks that attack innocent animals.
- Man-Eating Plant: The Foliaath are giant plants in the Jungle that will attack anyone who comes near after disguising themselves as normal ferns.
- Metal Slime: The Grottol is a crab with diamonds on its back, while it can be killed for the ore, it tends to escape quickly.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: The Abavuthana won't attack you if you're wearing one of their masks, you can even trade with them like Villagers.
- The Power of the Sun: If you manage to trick Umvuthi by wearing an Umvuthana's mask, you can trade a golden block for Umvuthi to grant you a blessing. This blessing lasts for up to an hour and grants you the ability to cast various heliomancy spells to fight with.
- The Shangri-La: The Earthrend Monastery is built with Eastern architecture in mind, and is inhabited by a solitary monk who is generally friendly unless attacked.
- Shout-Out: As in the base game, the Advancements for this mod tend to reference other works:
- Defeating Umvuthi gives you "Praise the Sun".
- Defeating the Ferrous Wroughtnaut results in an Advancement called "Just A Flesh Wound".
- Victor Gains Loser's Powers:
- Defeating Umvuthi gives you the Sol Visage, which when wearing one and holding one of the Umvuthana Masks allows you to summon Umvuthana minions of their respective mask.
- Upon defeating Frostmaw, you collect the Ice Crystal in its mouth, allowing you to use its freezing breath attack.
- Defeating the Ferrous Wroughtnaut gives you its helmet and its axe, both of which are invincible to destruction.
