Crazy Zombie (Video Game)

Crazy Zombie is a Beat 'em Up Flash game developed by D Team and published by 4399.com. The games focus on playing with several characters from other works against several zombies and other powerful creatures. The player can also upgrade the characters' status by collecting a certain amount of coins you can get by defeating the enemies.

The game has several modes:

  • Challenge Mode: The player must complete 10 levels which increases the difficulty. The player must defeat a certain amount of hordes until they face the boss.

  • Eschatology Mode: In this Story Mode, the player will meet a woman with two soldiers. The woman tells the player to run, because a horde of zombies and other monsters are coming. After this, the player will face several other enemies while they learn more about the apocalypse.

  • VS. Hero Mode: The player will battle the heroes instead of the zombies.

  • Soldier Mode: In this Story Mode, you control the main Soldier from the Eschatology Mode.

  • Survival Mode: As the name suggests, the player have to beat the enemies until their health is empty.

  • Battle Mode: The player will face a certain group of enemies each level.

  • Echochrome Mode: Similiar to the Survival Mode, but the player will go to the next floor of a building and defeat the enemies until their health is empty.

    Playable Characters

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Heroism: Frieza, Orochi and Ernie are playable and treated as heroes by the other NPCs on Eschatology Mode, alongside the fact that none of them show their antagonistic traits during the game.

  • Assist Character: Ernie's Ultimate Attack consists of calling several random characters to attack the enemies like Luigi, Mewtwo, Viewtiful Joe, Chopper, Tetsuo, Bubbles, Zero, and Tao Pai Pai.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The game was made by a Chinese developer, which doesn't have a good English translation, especifically from the dialogue of Eschatology Mode.

  • Enemy Mine: You can choose Goku and Frieza to play in 2-Player Mode to fight the zombies, and none of them will react with hostility despite being enemies.

  • Excuse Plot: In Eschatology Mode the story is very simplistic, as the main character will have to deal with a zombie apocalypse with the help of the army. It's clear that the Crossover aspect is the main focus of this game, as it doesn't explain how or why several characters from different media exists in this apocalyptic world.

  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: It's a Beat 'em Up game with several characters from well know works (and some obscure ones) beating zombies and other creatures to survive.

  • Promoted to Playable: The soldier you met on Eschatology Mode, which is an ally, is playable on Soldier Mode.

  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: In Eschatology Mode, the NPCs have little reaction towards the player character. Probably justified, considering that they are dealing with zombies and other weird creatures.

  • You Don't Look Like You: Mario's appearance resembles more of his brother Luigi. That is because Mario's sprite is actually a Palette Swap of Luigi made by Warner for M.U.G.E.N.
