Directed by nonamecrackers2, the mod brings the Wither Storm into Minecraft, with the mod retaining many aspects from the Wither Storm's original appearance, such as its development stages. The Wither Storm in this mod has some other changes to it, such as having extra powers.

Cracker's Wither Storm Mod provides examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: The Wither Storm still retains its abilities from its original game, with some additional abilities. For instance, the Wither Storm can now summon its own mobs to attack the player(s).
- Anti-Frustration Features:
- While fighting the Withered Symbiont, the Wither Storm will not deliberately target the player, giving you some breathing room when it comes to fighting a tough opponent.
- In the final phase, if the player falls into a bottomless pit in the Womb Level and thus fall back into the Overworld from a great height, they'll be given a strong Resistance potion effect to survive the fall.
- The Assimilator: Like in Minecraft: Story Mode, it'll just absorb as much of the land and mobs it possibly can nonstop.
- Attack Its Weak Point: The command block still remains the same weak point for the Wither Storm.
- Bad Vibrations: While the Wither Storm cannot chase the player(s) underground, the cave systems will shake occasionally — with some ceiling blocks falling as a result — to remind you that the monster is still out there.
- Canon Foreigner: Original to Cracker's Wither Storm Mod is the Withered Symbiont, a mini-boss that appears at the end of Phase 5.5 and Phase 7 of the Wither Storm. Defeating it is required to obtain a Command Block Book, an item required to create materials used to kill the Wither Storm.
- The Corruption: Mobs that are exposed to the Wither Storm contract Wither Sickness, which slowly takes effect until they become corrupted "Sickened" mobs, stronger variants that can inflict Wither when damaging players, with passive mobs also becoming hostile. Players which contract this effect slowly lose their max amount of hearts unless it's cured somehow, usually via a special golden apple stew.
- Enemy Summoner: The Wither Storm is capable of creating its own hostile mobs against the player(s).
- Extradimensional Emergency Exit: The Wither Storm cannot follow the player(s) into the Nether, at most it'll follow and wait outside the portal (which is likely to be destroyed, assuming it's not deep underground).
- Pragmatic Adaptation: While the Wither Storm — from its abilities, to how it evolves — is faithfully recreated in Minecraft, some elements were tweaked to work better in a Wide-Open Sandbox.
- The Formidi-bomb and the Command Block Tools both require the Command Block Book to create, which is obtained from a newly introduced mini-boss dropping it upon death.
- Endermen aren't needed to open up a hole in the Wither Storm's body; it'll just open up a hole during its final phase.
- Run or Die: The structure that hosts the Wither Storm spawn can be found near where the player first spawns at the middle world coordinates (0, 0), and if the player chooses to place the skulls atop and summon itnote , your only hope of survival is making as much distance between you and the Wither — getting as much resources as possible and either using any fast-travel movement or escaping underground — before it can catch up and ruin your day.
- Tractor Beam: From its eyes in Phase 2 onwards are beams of light that'll grab any player/mob/block it catches in sight, and if the player is unable to struggle free from being caught, they'll be pulled towards the Wither Storm, with the monster letting them go if they strike at its eye/head.
- We Need a Distraction: The amulet has the side effect of making the player who's holding it be the primary target of the Wither Storm, chasing after them relentlessly. While inconvenient for a singular player, this can be used in a multiplayer setting for one player be the designated distraction while the other players make preparations in the overworld.
