After Ludwig drives him home to his mom, Jeremy chats with her while she cooks dinner in the other room as he watches a videotape of ''M" on the TV. The phone rings and he answers, only to hear a recording of his own conversation with Ludwig just moments ago playing back at him. Unnerved, he angrily demands to know who's calling him, only for the other end to hang up… As the eerie whistling of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" plays from the TV, Jeremy turns to see his mother poking her head around the corner and staring at him ominously. Not speaking, not answering, just... staring. Then the stranger around the corner lets go of her severed head, which falls to the ground. The camera whips over to the Butcher standing in the corner of the room holding an axe... and we cut to black.
