When they held an official tournament, Namco was expecting an intense game of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, only to instead get a game of chicken, because Dr. Gero and Android 19 are able to abuse their unique properties (their super dash not requiring meter, and a grab that heals, along with other traits) to get a slight lead and then stall out indefinitely rather than fight. Two players who did this against each other in the French grand finals match bored the commentators so much that they started making small talk and cut away from gameplay while the match was still ongoing, and the players were afterward disqualified despite not breaking any rules; they weren't cheating, they were being pragmatic.
