The only reason Rheena is leading Lawson and the Jedi into a trap is because the Empire is holding her at gunpoint and making her do it. She manages to hint a warning to him when he calls her to confirm they're en route, and the moment she has an opening, she immediately turns on the Imperials and starts gunning down stormtroopers, before destroying the ship being used as bait for the trap.
