Orbot and Cubot wake up to find that they can't remember what happened the previous day and their boss is missing, prompting the two robots to set out to find Dr. Eggman.

• Brick Joke: When the robots try to sell the Eggmobile, T.W. Barker tricks them into letting him steal it. Near the end, after their memories are erased, Eggman asks where the Eggmobile is.
• Comically Missing the Point: When Sonic sees Cubot and Orbot at his house, he asks what they want. Cubot replies that he wants long blond hair, his own talk show, and taste buds, before Orbot puts him back on track.
• A Day in the Limelight: For Orbot and Cubot, Dr. Eggman's loyal but usually accident-prone robot henchmen.
• Dead Hat Shot: Subverted; at the helium warehouse, Orbot and Cubot find a mustache on the floor at the helium warehouse and think he accidentally killed himself with his disintegrator ray. However, when they return home, they find him alive and well, and throwing a surprise party, no less. The mustache they found was actually for a party game called "Pin the Mustache on the Eggman".
• Doomed Supermarket Display: Subverted; Dr. Eggman tries to return a burnt umbrella, but the store's owner refuses to give him a refund. Outraged, Eggman kicks the bottom two cans of a pyramid... and the rest of the cans completely stay stacked, much to his surprise.
• Dreadful Musician: Cubot and Orbot do such a lousy job as street musicians that Tails gives them pity money.
• Even Evil Has Standards: When the robots try to con Amy out of her money by pretending to solicit donations, she tells them about the charity she's raising money for: Operation Toastybeak^note a charity fund to send sweaters to baby penguins. When she gives them her money, the robots feel so guilty they burst into tears and not only return her money, but they also donate the money Tails gave them earlier.
• Helium Speech: This exchange in the helium warehouse:
  Eggman: How do we know this is helium? (knocks over a helium canister, which opens)
  Willy: (high-pitched) I'm not sure.
  Eggman: (high-pitched) If only there was some way to tell.
• Letting the Air out of the Band: Happens with the background music when the prisoner that appears after Cubot shoots open the prison wall is revealed to not be Dr. Eggman, but Willy Walrus.
• Mood Whiplash: After finding a mustache at the helium warehouse, the robots think Eggman is dead and return home grief-stricken. The scene of their return is quite sad, but it abruptly ends when the duo are suddenly surprised with a party and find Eggman alive all along.
• Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: This episode's title is a reference to the 2000 comedy film, Dude, Where's My Car?.
• Shout-Out: When Orbot and Cubot ask Sonic and Knuckles if they had battled Eggman yesterday, Knuckles starts telling an obviously fabricated story meant to make him look like the big hero who defeated him, complete with him being able to fly and ''shoot beams out of his hands'', not to mention Sonic looking weak and cowardly in comparison to him, Tails telling him that he's been made governor, and the girls fawning over him. It must be seen to be believed.
  Sonic: I wanna be just like you when I grow up!
  • In a meta example, one of the writers for the episode tweeted that this made Knuckles' (now sadly patched) infinite jumping in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric canon. A fan then made a video to go along with this.
    • Later on, Eggman angrily tries to knock over a stacked group of milk cans, kicking away a couple at the bottom, but much to Eggman and the shop owner's surprise, the stack of cans defies physics and manages to stand up normally despite having no support - which is also a glitch in Rise of Lyric.
• Spit Take: The police beaver spits out his coffee three times before responding to Orbot and Cubot when they talk to him.
• Zany Scheme: Orbot and Cubot's first attempt to raise money to bail Eggman out of jail? Becoming street performers who sing "Daisy Bell".
