MAGIC! is a Canadian reggae band from Toronto, best known for the One-Hit Wonder "Rude".

They formed in 2012 and released their debut album Don't Kill the Magic in 2014, which include the aformentioned "Rude".

Don't Trope the Magic:

• Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Defied in "Rude". The singer goes to his beloved's father to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage, only for the other guy to say no and declare that he'll never give his blessings 'til he dies. The singer declare that he's going to marry his girl anyway regardless of her father's rejection, and intends to elope with her.
• Minimalistic Cover Art: The cover of Don't Kill the Magic is a yellow screen with their name and album title above and under a big M respectively.
• Parental Marriage Veto: "Rude" is sung from the point of view of a man who is distraught over the fact that his girlfriend's father refuses to give his blessing to their marriage. The young couple in the song eventually defy the girl's father and decide to get married anyway..

• Parental Relationship Approval:The band's debut single, "Rude", is about the singer failing to get this from the father of his fiance, but deciding he'll marry her anyway.
• Undying Loyalty: The narrator's spouse in "Rude".
