Doujinshi is a very diverse beast. The only real "rule" is that they have to be an amateur publication; that's the literal translation of the word, after all. Most users at TV Tropes care about the ones based on existing source material to the point that they're technically copyright violations (in other words, fan comics). This index is a catalog of such doujinshi, classified by the works they're based off of.
