WILLOW: DEFEAT NOCKMAAR CASTLE! is a Futabasha-published gamebook authored by Katsuyuki Ozaki based on the Lucasfilm picture Willow (or more specifically the Famicom version of the film with the same name) that involves Willow in a quest to defeat the evil forces lead by Queen Bavmorda who is based at Nockmaar Castle. The setting is a world of mystery as well as the co-existence of swords and magic safeguarded by Bavmorda and Finradiel. Unexpectedly Bavmorda desired this world of beauty and peace for no one except herself and seeks to take it over with her extreme powers of black magic. The High Aldwin of Nelwyn Village called forth trainees residing in the village in order to find warriors who can defeat Queen Bavmorda. The trainee chosen to be the Nelwyn's champion against Bavmorda is Willow.
Despite his lacking skill in swords and magic, Willow is still a family man devoted to his loved ones and justice. He must now set forth and take this quest and train himself along the way to defeat Nockmaar Castle. The gamebook is part of Futabasha's Famicom series of gamebooks adapting Famicom Games.
