Following

Nightmare Beings (called Nightmare Menagerie as of 2017) is an annual series on Bogleech.

The premise of the series is simple: commenters describe a disturbing dream they had with an interesting monster in it. If the monster is bizarre or freaky enough, it gets illustrated, either by Bogleech himself, or by a guest artist, with over twenty different artists contributing to the series as of this writing. Some of Bog's own dreams are often featured.

As of this writing, the most recent post can be found here, with an archive of previous nightmare beings at the bottom, though the series has unfortunately been discontinued since then.

Provides examples of:

• Abusive Parents: Well, sort of—the titular subject of Somnambulist's "Grandma" nightmare is an Emotion Eater monster that primarily feeds off of guilt and shame who manifests as a seemingly kindly grandmother when she's not feeding. Her demeanor, however, very much resembles that of an emotionally abusive parent.
• Adults Are Useless:
  • In Certified Fucker's dream starring Mr. Fiddly, the narrator tries to tell their mother about the being that tried to drag the narrator into the TV via his prehensile Gag Nose, but the mother just ignores them.
  • Similarly, MasterBarf's dream about a hopping palm tree monster has the narrator trying to tell their parents about the creature, only for them to keep responding with "We're talking". It's implied that this ends badly for them.
    ...the entire time I ran, I could hear a sound like someone loudly chewing on cereal and slurping soup at the same time.
  • Downplayed in Everbound Venvel's nightmare. Most of her family ignores the monster that makes up her dining room wall in the dream, but her father banishes it with a camera flash when he sees it scaring her.
• Animalistic Abomination: Very common.
• Animate Inanimate Object:
  • One of Bogleech's dreams stars a man who lives in a mansion filled with malevolent furniture.
  • Dustpan's◊ Jesus◊ is horrifying even before he turns into a cricket. He moves his head like a security camera and his walk is more of a mechanical marching.
  • Bogleech theorizes that Wheezy◊ is “an anthropomorphised version of something we just don't actually have in our timeline.“
• Anthropomorphic Food:
  • One creature resembles a scoop of ice cream with buck teeth and White Gloves. It's more scary than it sounds.
  • The Lemon from Ketchupcat's dream is a lemon with a cartoon face and a body made from "2000s technology."
• Artifact Title: Bog admits that a decent amount of entries don't exactly count as nightmares due to being more strange than scary, but he still features them anyway if they're particularly memorable.
• Attack of the Town Festival: Calaveracarnival's dream about the Angel's Idol◊ starts at a seaside town festival.
• Bad Boss: Taken to Surreal Horror levels with The Boss, a Blob Monster from Lukas Reimer's dream. If you fail to follow its rules, it sucks you into the grate on its stomach, which leads to an Acid-Trip Dimension.
• Bad Santa: Lukas Reimer's "Face Sucker" dream starts out with them being following home by a creepy stalker Mall Santa. Then it reveals its horrifying true form...◊
• Based on a Dream: invoked The entire premise of the series.
• Bears Are Bad News: This◊ “bear” from Airborne Terror's nightmare, which looks barely anything like one.
• Beast with a Human Face:
  • This "wasp"◊ from one of Bogleech's own dreams.
  • This pained giraffe-creature◊ from Rusti H's dream.
  • The Man Fish mentioned under Carcass Sleeping Bag.
• Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti:
  • One user's nightmare involved a “Sasquatch” that looked nothing like the one we're familiar with, resembling a skeletal ape-like creature with red eyes and the ability to control its victim's movement.
  • Also this thing◊, which puts even Bogleech at a loss for words.
  • The Disco Yeti is a sleep-paralysis demon that inflicts Sensory Abuse upon its victim with its bright colors and flashing lights.
• Big Creepy-Crawlies: These "stinkbugs"◊ are fourteen feet long.
• Bishie Sparkle: The “salamanders◊” in Croases’ dream◊ were illustrated like this because said creatures were considered more attractive than humans.
• Bizarre Alien Reproduction:
  • One dream involved a nature documentary about an animal that laid eggs which each had a pair of insect-like legs and walked around forming long trains like a centipede.
  • A dream from 2020 features "Autogorgons," monsters vaguely resembling◊ Lizard Folk that reproduce by making baby snakes appear in people's stomachs, which are then vomited into cars.
• Brown Note Being: Touching the Insignificator turns your very existence neutral, rendering you unable to have a negative or positive effect on anything.
• Call a Smeerp a "Rabbit": One dream involved the dreamer watching a documentary about fish... which were actually grinning babies with long antennae instead of eyes that were floating in a black void.
  • This is a recurring trope, as with the above-mentioned “Sasquatch,” “salamanders,” and “bear,” and the below-mentioned “dragon,” “vampire,” “hyenas,” "goat," and “chicken.”
  • The Thing That Was a Tree◊ is pointedly not a tree, but has to be convinced that it is one. If it knew what it truly was, it would become extremely dangerous.
• Carcass Sleeping Bag: Sphinx stays warm on a snowy mountainside by hiding in the rotting, still-living body of the Man Fish◊.
• Chest Monster: The Crate Kitty◊ from one "Ramblin' Evil Mushroom" lures the narrator in by pretending to be a Cute Kitten in a box before extending a long serpentine neck, wailing like a cat in pain, and biting them.
• Child Eater: A being from Liam Phillipson's dream known simply as The Shadow, which vaguely resembles a Gastly with headlights for eyes. It leaves the dreamer alone, but "scientists" found the remains of a soccer ball and a T-shirt in its stomach.
• Cooldown Hug: The woman in Daisydice's "Werewolf" dream gives one to the titular werewolf until he calms down and presumably reverts back to normal.
• Creepily Long Arms:
  • The Pool Woman from Can't Breath's dream has these, along with pale skin and big round staring eyes.
  • Mr. Oogle also has these. Or only one, depending on the artist interpretation.
  • That Jerk Under The Sink◊ uses its arm to just waste its victim's water.
• Creepy Blue Eyes: The Terrible Dog in one of Lukas Reimer's dreams has these. The monster that emerges from it◊ retains them in the illustration.
• Creepy Doll: The Slime Doll◊, which resembles a slimy baby doll with Black Bead Eyes and a grotesquely wide mouth with More Teeth than the Osmond Family.
• Dark Is Not Evil:
  • Corky, despite his bizarre appearance◊, is a benevolent creature.
  • Muriel◊ may look creepy, but in the end, she just wants a tampon.
  • Despite looking like a humanoid grub, the Announcer in marineVerdancy's dream is friendly and warns the narrator about the Blinky Blunk.
• Depending on the Artist: The designs of the monsters vary from Ugly Cute to horrifyingly surreal, depending on who's illustrating them.
• Domestic Abuse: One of Bog's own dreams was about a horror film that featured a man who was constantly tortured and abused by his monstrous wife known simply as "Mama". A rare female-on-male example that wasn't played for laughs.
• Dream Within a Dream: The "stinkbugs" from one of Glitchrr36's dreams came from one of these, in which Hagrid took care of them.
• Emotion Eater: The titular character of Somnambulist's "Grandma" dream feeds on guilt and shame, and in a truly disgusting way too—her face morphs into a long proboscis with a tongue at the tip◊ and she sticks it into her victim's ear, sucking the negativity out through the brain. She also loves to stoke that negativity, so as to have more food for later.
• Evil-Detecting Dog: In Lance Alan Welch's dream, his dog alerts the family to the oozing monsters◊.
• Eyeless Face:
  • The old man from Beelzebufo's dream is described as having a face so wrinkled his eyes are hidden by folds of skin.
  • The Insignificator◊ from Nanzapants' dream has a vaguely avian skull with neither eyes nor sockets.
• Enfant Terrible: Blooming Baby◊, whom the narrator needs to kill to end a plant-based Zombie Plague.
  • Nanzapants' Acid Reflux Nightmare of a giant gray photorealistic baby head crawling around like a crab on equally giant human fingers◊.
• Eye Scream: One monster has a tongue made of eyes, and brainwashes people by stealing their eyes and replacing them with two of the eyes from its own tongue.
• Eyes Out of Sight: Pablo resembles an◊ emo teen with his hair covering his whole face. Even with all the hair the narrator could still feel his murderous gaze.
• Face Stealer: The Face Sucker from Lukas Reimer's dream has a sphincter-like mouth that it uses to suck off its victims' faces, which then manifest eyeless and wailing on its body.
  Lukas Reimer: I blacked out when that happened, but before I woke up, I could hear wet, quiet licking noises and a thin, worm-like tongue squirming around inside my brain.
• The Fair Folk: The "Bogwatch" from Demonlemon's dream◊ appears to unintentionally borrow from archaic fairy lore, complete with Demonlemon having to perform an odd little ritual to keep it from eating them...a ritual that will doom four people to save them.
• "Fantastic Voyage" Plot: Played for horror by the villain◊ of an in-dream anime Bogleech was watching. He had the ability to shrink his opponents to microscopic size and somehow "suck them into his body," where they would be forced to fight against his immune system and germs.
• Feathered Fiend:
  • Bike Bird, a Big Bird-like creature with two extra beaks instead of legs that chases the dreamer around on a red tricycle.
  • Cordyceps sapiens' sleep paralysis incident involving a grotesque living taxidermied flamingo◊.
  • The Woodpecker◊ doesn't seem too scary at first, looking mundane except for its size and communicating with a lonely young girl by tapping, but, depending on which of the dream's two endings was "true," either killed and ate her parents or may have been Dead All Along.
• The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: One dream has a trailer for a horror movie called The Red Frog. The titular frog is seen crawling out of the screen, but this is apparently all part of the trailer.
  • Another has a being called Mr. Fiddly who appears in an advertisement and tries to drag the dreamer into the television via his prehensile Gag Nose.
  • After waking up from a nightmare of DOG, an Animalistic Abomination that manifests on various Disney park rides, Barayas sees it at the end of their bed.
• Frog Men: Frog-like creatures are extremely common, to the point where Bog theorizes that frogs have a special connection to dreams.
• Funny Animal:
  • The Pig who shows up to play basketball with the aforementioned Lemon in Ketchupcat's dream.
  • A much less funny pig is the Bridal Sow◊, which walks like a wind-up doll before the dream collapses into Surreal Horror.
  • A family of anthropomorphic horses in Xionahri's dream has a rather unusual member◊.
• Gag Nose:
  • Played for Horror with the Nosey Woman, whose nose can stretch a long distance, chase after people, and wrap around them. Similarly, there's Mr. Fiddly, mentioned under The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You.
  • A monstrous cloud creature from Graham Bredbenner's dream has a long nose that it uses to sniff out its victims.
• Gaia's Lament: This◊ Eldritch Abomination, a bizarre amalgamation of animal parts, is "nature gone wrong."
• The Grotesque: Squid's Worm Man is a large man with skin like gum, empty eye sockets, worms crawling around in and on his face and massive worms where his legs should be. However, he's shown to be a kind, if slightly shy individual whom Squid claims to have befriended in his dream. Apparently, the worm thing is actually a "skin condition" and Worm Man is noted to be rather sensitive about it.
• Genuine Human Hide: This Demon Banjo◊ uses a human face as a resonator.
• Hair-Raising Hare: Grandma is a hideous rabbit-like creature that disguises itself as a kindly old woman and makes dolls made from Genuine Human Hide.
  • UnicornRevenge's Easter Bunny is a serial killer that has a head like that of a candy rabbit with foil covering its face.
  • Phazon Ultra's "rabbit" is a very Guillermo del Toro-style rabbit woman with a skull-like, skin-covered face in her stomach.
• Heinous Hyena: One user's nightmare involved "hyenas" that were actually half-human, half-hyena creatures with long necks and eyes that glowed so brightly, it obscured their human-like faces.
• Hellish Horse: Horse-like monsters are common in these dreams.
  • Panglong's "Window Horse", which has one eye in the middle of its forehead and fish-like lips.
  • Boringjorn's Leaf Horse, which, true to its name, is a horse made from rotting leaves that was found on a spaceship.
  • One dream involves a corpse-like horse◊ attached to a helicopter propeller that shouts “FORGIVE!”
• Humanoid Abomination: Several nightmare beings are more or less human, but that doesn't make them any less terrifying.
• I Know Your True Name: Every time someone discovers one of Prellelldielle◊'s names, she advances one layer of fiction closer to the real world, somewhat akin to SCP-2747, the narrative eater.
• Improbable Weapon User: Barnacle Boy wields a sharpened frozen fish.
• In Name Only:
  • One creature is nicknamed Large Marge by the dreamer, despite looking nothing like◊ the Large Marge from the film.
  • These◊ things have nothing to do with the monsters from The Day of the Triffids, despite being called triffids in the dream they originated.
  • A tornado of flesh and gore formed from an orgy of cannibalism◊ is dubbed Cthulhu.
• Jump Scare: One of Bogleech's dreams, which features him hunting for a giant baby bird, ends with one, much to his disappointment.
• Kaiju: Promestein's "Anglermouth" is a decidedly non-traditional◊ monster that supposedly appeared in an old Godzilla movie.
• Killer Rabbit: Bebebebe◊ is a silly-looking stick figure creature with a cute name that pulls small children into voids.
• "Kiss the Cook" Apron: One dream features a Humanoid Abomination with an apron that reads "kill the cook".
• Knight of Cerebus:
  • Wheezy, a strange coughing lightbulb-shaped creature with the ability to make other characters suffocate, is an in-dream example. He appears in an in-dream Looney Tunes cartoon, and unusually for Looney Tunes, is not at all played for humor. In his introduction, he is seen grabbing Elmer Fudd's shotgun, turning it useless, and doing something terrible offscreen to Elmer, who seems to be uncharacteristically frightened of the creature.
  • Zane Khan's Bathroom Stalker may be the first nightmare being with implicitly lustful intentions.
• Large Ham: The "Hideous Eye Guy", a doll-like creature with one single eye from one of Bogleech's own dreams.
  '''YOUR FIRST! HIDEOUS! EEEEEEEYE!”
• Living Clothes: One dream involved a pair of neon green Dr. Seuss-esque pants that walked around and laughed evilly, which frightened everyone in the dream. ^note Interestingly enough, there actually was a Dr. Seuss story (called "What Was I Scared Of?", featured in The Sneetches and Other Stories) that involved a pair of spooky green pants with no one inside them, though it's unknown whether the dreamer was aware of this or not.
• Long Neck: One dream has the dreamer's mother come into their room in the middle of the night, only for her neck to suddenly stretch out and make a looping pattern. The dream has a sort of sequel where a long neck with a goofy, drooling human head on the end comes out of the bath drain.
• Mad Scientist: And his "nurse" assistant, who run a "greasy," wooden lab on an opera stage.◊
• Magical Library: An amiable, ankh-headed fellow◊ oversees one.
• The Man in the Moon: Richard.APK is a smartphone virus that takes the form of a grinning cartoon moon.
• Meat Moss:
  • The Grate◊ is either covered in or made of this.
  • Jadegyroid's "Meatpocalypse" dream◊ saw the entire Earth becoming made of this, stalked by centipede-like monsters made of flesh and bones◊.
• Missing Episode: invoked doomydoomydoomdoom's dream◊ about a Homestar Runner art book is reminiscent◊ of a "lost episode" Creepypasta.
• Mix-and-Match Critters:
  • Tithe, the Banker of Death from Omny87's dream, which is described a looking like a cross between a bird and a bat.
  • Chuckiemaster's dream features a monster with the body of a spider and a goat's skull for a head, although it is only called a "goat."
  • Roaches◊, which add even more Body Horror than usual to this trope.
  • One dream had a Sloth Man described as looking "more like a human that evolved to be a sloth but [...] a human that never saw a sloth and only went off of description alone."
  • A huge part-squid, part-crab◊ creature from one of Bog's own dreams is apparently a "godless beast".
• Mons:
  • Tim and Doggy◊ are both ostensibly two "demo" monsters available in a monster fighting app game that causes monsters to manifest in the real world when they fight. Thankfully, there is an NPC (not pictured) known simply as Mr. Sweep, who exists to clean up any messes that may occur.
  • Friendly Troll's dream◊ about the Polygon Children◊ begins with these appearing in the real world before the dream shifts.
• Monster Clown:
  • The stilt-clowns, which are eerie clown-like beings with long stilt-like legs. The fact that they appear at a cemetery doesn't help matters.
  • The grease clown is a clown-like creature made from a greasy liquid that turns its victims into grease.
• Never Smile at a Crocodile:
  • This crocodile◊ from PoonDragoon's dream is described as looking like “one of those nasty old children's book illustrations of a crocodile”.
  • A new species of alligator from Rhetco's dream, which has a pair of arms sprouting from its back and no eyes◊.
• Non-Human Head: Francine◊ has the body of a wrestler, but a mylar balloon for a head, which is printed with the face of a cartoon woman in the style of The Golden Age Of Animation.
• Non-Indicative Name: Peppermint Squeezy◊ has no attributes or abilities related to either word in its name.
• Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: Dustpan's Jesus, a wooden Jesus from a crucifix. It can clearly think for itself and appears to have concern for Dustpan's plight (paralyzed after tumbling over and hitting their head onto a pew) but its supposed "attempts" at healing involves being a total creep and blowing pan pipe flutes through its empty pupils.
• Nothing Is Scarier:
  • We never find out who or what was providing those squelching footsteps in Cela's dream with Corky◊.
  • A dream with a being known simply as “The Cow”◊ cuts off as soon as the titular cow turns around, so we never find out what its face looks like.
  • The Blinky Blunk is never seen onscreen in the dream it appears in◊. Artist Biomechanicalmush decides to illustrate it as a shadowy grinning giraffe-like creature with red shoes and a hand on the end of its long tail◊.
  • The things upstairs in MadHighlander's dream◊ are only seen as ominous shadows◊ in the dreamer's room.
  • Eddy threatens to "hang up"◊ the narrator. They didn't know what he meant by that, only that it couldn't be good.
• Not-So-Harmless Villain: The Salamanders are somewhat comedic in concept, being giant, salamander-naked mole rat hybrids that are seen as innately superior to humanity in every way, right down to being more attractive than them, but the nightmare they're featured in ends with their perfection effectively leading to them supplanting humanity and wiping them out.
• Obliviously Evil: The Matriarch, an enormous plant-like alien that infects humans with a plant-based virus, but sees no malice whatsoever in her actions, and only does it because she wants to reproduce. She seemed genuinely hurt when she was told that humanity didn't want to be converted into her "children".
• Our Angels Are Different: "Nature gone wrong" would fit right in with the angels in the Book of Ezekial.
  • The Angel's Idol◊ looks like a vaguely human-shaped lump of driftwood with tentacles like the arms of a feather star◊ in place of wings. It washes out the colors around it and drains dark colors from people it catches, which apparently kills them.
• Our Dragons Are Different: This “dragon◊” from Seizurecube's dream is a giant plant monster with a brain made of rotting sheep.
• Our Goblins Are Different: Aceotaku's goblins◊ are physically weak, but crafty, little green humanoids who take over the world and have a larger, more powerful form called Hobgoblins.
• Our Gryphons Are Different: Omny87's dream features “hippocrites”, which resemble hippogriffs with a snake's head on the end of their tails, and would always agree with the opposite of what the other head says.
• Our Giants Are Bigger: All that its dreamer Glitchrr36 knows about the thing from their dream is that it's the tallest, it's humanoid, and it would eat them if it noticed them.
• Our Monsters Are Weird: Basically everything, since they are from dreams.
• Our Vampires Are Different:
  • This◊ “vampire” from Jacob Stevenson's dream is a great big mishmash of various parts that looks nothing like the vampires we're familiar with.
  • Another dream has the Chihuahuacabra, which resembles a demonic chihuahua dog in a stereotypical vampire cape.
• Our Werewolves Are Different: One dream involves a boy becoming a werewolf◊ that resembles a dog skull with a writhing mass of tentacles.
• Outside-Context Problem: The plant men◊ in an in-dream comic strip that Bogleech was reading were "not created by the same god as everything else."
• Planimal: TheMostRealWalrus's Worm Cactus.◊
• Physical God: The King◊ Of All Reality◊ and The◊ Storyteller◊.
• Poke the Poodle: The Tongue Goblin does nothing but talk to you and show you its two grotesque tongues◊...but it's enough to frighten anyone.
  • That Jerk Under the Sink waits until the dreamer goes to sleep before turning all his faucets to full blast and wasting his water.
• Pokémon Speak: Bobobobasp fish are three-eyed shark-like fish named for the sounds they make.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: Domino is a glowing red eye surrounded by floating dominoes that "is extremely powerful and [hates the narrator] and wants [them] to die."
• Sentient Vehicle: This dream◊ features a milk truck with an old man's face◊ that shouts “YOU'RE REPEATING THE PUZZLE! YOU'VE BEEN REPEATING THE PUZZLE!” over and over.
• Shout-Out: Some beings are (subconsciously, of course) inspired by fictional characters.
  • The "wish granters"◊ from Rose Diltz's dream resemble Thwomps edged with human teeth.
  • The Mint Candy◊ has a face resembling the Centipeetle's.
  • Querm Lover's dream about Guffrey's, a Texan big-box store similar to Wal-Mart, has many, including the monster that may or may not be Guffrey himself screaming "DEATH IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES!"
  • The Window Lurker◊ is compared to characters from Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
  • The Little Pink Coneheads◊ are described by their dreamer as looking like a cross between Majin Buu and EVIL PATRIXXX.
  • The Powerpuff Girls fought the Bone Ants◊ in DrEMBForRealsies' dream.
  • Bogleech once dreamed about an anime villain resembling The Laughing Salesman as a Hollywood Cyborg.
• Sinister Minister: The Bishop◊ certainly resembles◊ one, and Phosphenes immediately knows that it is "something bad."
• Skewed Priorities: In MadHighlander's dream, they decide that getting the TV remote is more important than avoiding the malicious beings that have invaded their room upstairs.
• Spike Shooter: Peek, the offspring of a much larger Godzilla-like monster, is capable of this.
• Stringy-Haired Ghost Girl: One of Bogleech's own nightmares features one that has a cactus growing from the middle of her face.
• Spell My Name with a "The": THE CASEY◊ (yes, in all caps).
• Sugary Malice: The figure known as "Grandma" from one of Somnambulist's dreams plays off like a kindly old grandmother, but gleefully stokes the shame and regrets of her victims in order to feed off of these emotions.
• Surreal Horror: Practically all of them are made of this. They are real nightmares, after all.
• Tentacled Terror:
  • One dream had a point-and-click game involving a guessing minigame where you have to guess which sock goes on which foot of an octopus creature.
  • The Underwater Reaper is "an octopus that stole a parka from a drowning victim and wore it like a grim reaper cloak with his tentacles sticking out of the bottom, but he would appear to people underwater whenever they were about to drown, and thus became feared by anyone who went to scuba dive."
• Tickle Torture: Done by◊ a nightmarish version◊ of Bram from Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show.
• Toilet Humour: One dream involves a woman not wanting to pee anymore, so she has a scientist turn her urinary system into an independent organism that resembles an antelope's skull with the kidneys attached to its horns and the bladder in the nasal opening. The creature goes on a rampage, peeing acid on British soldiers before escaping.
  Woman: Oh dear. This is as bad as the time I wanted to do away with pooping.
• Totally Radical: One monster is nothing more than a two-dimensional floating head that spouts “xtreme” phrases like “Send it, bro!”
• Threatening Shark: The Bobobobasp fish◊ are shark-like creatures which are named for the strange sounds they make, and have a triangular head with three eyes.
• Unusually Uninteresting Sight: No one seems particularly disturbed by Worm Man in the dream Squid had about him. Instead, they tell people not to draw too much attention to his "skin condition" (implied to be the multitude of earthworms crawling in and out of his body), which he's apparently rather sensitive about.
• The Virus: The Mint Candy can turn humans into more of its kind in their sleep.
  • If you destroy the Meat Dancer◊, you become the new one.
• The Voiceless: The Librarian never speaks, but is quite friendly.
• Vocal Dissonance:
  • Muriel is a grotesque cyclopic red-skinned humanoid sprouting out of a wall whose voice is described as a stereotypical soprano Beverly Hills accent.
  • Similarly, the new species of alligator from Rhetco's dream frustratedly groans in a woman's voice.
• Weakened by the Light: Muriel can be banished with the flash of a camera.
• Wily Walrus: One of Bogleech's own dreams features a humanoid walrus with a face that looks like a spandex mask, complete with painted on eyes, that moves in a fast motion like sped-up video footage despite barely moving his legs.
• When Trees Attack: One being is a bizarre palm tree-like creature with a single human foot, five human-like fingers on each side of its face, and a Lamprey Mouth with eyes surrounding it.

• The Worm That Walks: Worm Boy◊ who resembles a headless humanoid made out of worms, and Barnacle Boy◊ (no relation to the SpongeBob SquarePants character), who is made of barnacles and uses a frozen fish as a weapon.
• You Dirty Rat!: Cthulhuigi's dream features many multiplying deformed rat-like dogs, and two huge humanoid rat men. The largest one is described as looking like a Chuck E. Cheese animatronic, and threatens the dreamer by cutting a deep gash in his own torso with a knife.
