And the epilogue has more puppies produced by him and they are all just as cute!
Bull's relationship with his friends, especially Rocco and Honey.
Despite Luther being associated with his Sitcom Arch-Nemesis, Sterling, they sympathize with him in regard to his neutering and even stand up for him after Sterling callously tosses him aside.
And then there's his relationship with his owners, Alex, Julia, and Emma, the latter who sees him as a little brother. Despite him causing trouble in the beginning of the movie with his horniness, they just Turn the Other Cheek and decide to get him neutered, throwing a wild surprise party to ease him before his operation. When he runs away from home, they're later revealed to be devastated and actively searching for him, being overjoyed when he returns. This shows they are just any normal dog owner, that despite misbehaving at times, they still love him and only want what's best for him.
The scene of Lucky venting to Frankie about learning self-acceptance at the Humphouse is pretty sweet. Lucky admits to them that he's always "felt different" compared to most dogs and finds himself pursuing new scents and tastes, and the gentle Frankie gets him to realize that he chases external desires to ease internal issues. This realization hits Lucky to come out as pansexual, and this talk is what causes him to not only gain a lot of respect for Frankie but also fall in love with them as well. The feeling is reciprocal.
Frankie is noteworthy for being an intersex character and not once is this ever mocked or made the butt of a joke, nor are they treated like a stereotype most raunchy comedies would go along with. If anything, Frankie's intersex traits are portrayed as beautiful in their own right and nothing to be ashamed of.
Frankie: Sweetheart, that is my specialness. My… my everything. My self, which is very deserving of love.
After his Anguished Declaration of Love at The Climax, Honey secretly invites Bull to her owner's treehouse to properly return his feelings for her, admitting that she has always loved him too. When he finally reveals his impending neutering to her, she just reassures him that it won't change anything about himself before offering herself to him as one last hurrah. Of course, he happily accepts.
