  • In Act 1, if you use the Special Dagger and pick the goat eye after the battle ends, the Black Goat's icon inexplicably becomes cuter, gaining a blush and anime eyes among other things.
  • One rare card occurrence can happen if you get or make a card with the Fledgling and Dam Builder sigils on it—the dams the card summons will also be Fledgling cards, making them grow into more powerful forms after a turn passes. The stronger dam that results from this is titled Goddam.
  • For the third phase of Leshy's boss fight in Act 1, Leshy uses his camera on the moon and places that on the board. The card is so big that it covers up all of his spaces, and it has a lot of health. However, it only does one point of damage which can be easily canceled out by a card with the Stink sigil, leaving Leshy to helplessly watch as his intended final challenge is rendered a Zero-Effort Boss, and since it covers the his entire side, he can't play anymore cards to do anything about it. Leshy even lampshades the absurdity of his moon card losing attack to stink.
    • The moon can also be instantly killed by the Touch of Death sigil. If either of these occur, Leshy will realize he Did Not Think This Through.
  • Amidst the mystery and horror within Luke's video logs, there's one short clip which is just Luke buying the hardware he needs to run the Inscryption floppy disk. Luke even Lampshades the pointlessness of him recording this. "Great video!" indeed.
  • In Act 2, choosing the Beast or Dead starting deck will have a tutorial pop up that starts to explain their summoning conditions... in other words, Blood/Bones, which you just spent an entire Act using. Leshy/Grimora will note you looking bored, realize you already know how they work, and leave.
  • During the Finale, Grimora's Pirate boss fight starts with bombastic music and cannons falling from the sky, only to be cut short as her mask is deleted.
  • In Grimora's and Magnificus's segments in the Finale, you can check the rulebook to learn about some sigils that are never actually used. These include one that powers up a card when you say "Bloody Mary" into a connected microphone, and four that form an obvious Expy of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Exodia.
  • In Kaycee's mod, the Fecundity sigil took a huge nerf (any creature put in your hand by Fecundity will not have the Fecundity sigil). What makes it funny is both Leshy's reaction and the particular bit of code text in the bottom left.
Z:FloppyDisk/KAYCEEMOD: // It had to be done.
    Z:FloppyDisk/KAYCEEMOD: RemoveSigilFromCopy()
    Z:FloppyDisk/KAYCEEMOD: DEPLOY SIGIL NERF: FECUNDITY
  • The DevLogs in Kaycee's Mod contain several.
    • Entry #05 explains how, despite the new Inscyption with Leshy in charge is strange and inexplicable, she's enjoying the game a ton and has resolved to mod it to make it more balanced. She's a true game developer.
    • Entry #06 narrates how annoyed Kaycee was to find that Leshy is using the skull of the ghoul that was given her name... as a receptacle for spare teeth. She also finds going to collect them after each boss fight to be tiresome and has resolved to mod that out despite how much it will displease Leshy.
    • Entry #07 contains an ominous discussion of her discoveries concerning the OLD_DATA, ending with an aside that she's now finished the boss totems challenge.
    • Entry #08 narrates how she met an annoying card game player at a tournament who insisted on filming the match for his youtube channel, presumably Luke Carder.
    • Entry #09 describes how she found P03's card which asked for her help. Her response is to laugh and hand it over to Leshy (who she enjoys playing with and considers kind of a friend).
  • The fight against Royal Dominguez in the Kaycee's Mod when he turns his ship, the Limoncello, into the Moon's replacement. Not only are there skeletons partying on the deck of the card, every turn any open spots on your board will be filled with mutineering skeletons who attack the ship while Royal complains.
  • Compared to Leshy, P03 is much more focused on mechanics over lore. As such, he tends to half-ass the story elements of his game.
P03: The generator ran out of power and exploded. Don't let the in and outs of that distract you.
  • Just before Leshy beheads P03, the progress bar for uploading Inscryption to the Internet is at 69%.
