Captain Underpants is a multimedia franchise that began with the eponymous illustrated children's novel series written by Dav Pilkey. Infamous for Toilet Humor and Take That! comedy, the franchise stars two trouble-making fourth-graders named George and Harold (remember that now), who hypnotize their cruel principal into becoming the premier superhero of their homemade comics. Needless to say, Hilarity Ensues.
The series has since gained a movie, a cartoon series, and several spin-offs, many of which are based on other comic books made by George and Harold. The most successful of these is by far Dog Man, which has since recieved an animated movie and a video game of its own.
