A movie you survive

Traumatika is a 2024 American horror film directed by Pierre Tsigaridis. Young Mikey is beset with nightmares that turn painfully real when his mother begins showing signs of demonic possession. And even worse, he's trapped with her. Alone in their house and unable to escape as she begins turning increasingly unstable and hunting him.

  • Child Abuse Is a Special Kind of Evil: The film is built around horrible abuse of children and portrayed as nightmarish.
  • Demonic Possession: The demon Volpaazu possesses victims, converting them into its pawns and then attacking children.
  • Harmful to Minors: Mikey has to witness his mother growing increasingly monstrous and then actively trying to harm him.
  • Invasion of the Baby Snatchers: Volpaazu abducts and then murders children.
  • Parental Incest: Volpaazu rapes Abigail using her father's body.
  • Sadistic Choice: Volpaazu threatens Abigail to find him a replace child. Or he'll rape and impregnate her younger sister.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Volpaazu had been locked away a long time in an ancient artifact, but is released in modern day.
