Razor Blade Smile is a 1998 vampire movie.
Lilith Silver is a 150 year old vampire assassin who latest contract to kill all members of the mysterious and evil Masonic "Illuminati" sect leads is part of a deeper plot that it first seems.
This movie provides examples of:
- Brick Joke: Early on, Lilith's narration tells the viewer "You know fuck-all about vampires". When the entire plot is revealed to be a game played between Blake and Lilith for fun, Lilith's narration repeats the statement.
- Driven to Suicide: When Price realizes Blake actually is a vampire, he shoots himself in the head rather than let himself be drained.
- The Ending Changes Everything: On the first watch the whole plot, especially the conspiracies involved, seem completely ludicrous. Lilith's vicious approach and high body count make her seem no better than the villain. The ending reveals the conspiracy is a fake (unknown to most of its members), and the whole thing is just a bit of sexual roleplaying between the vampire leads.
- Friendly War: In the end, after they have killed most of each other's minions, it is revealed that they are still lovers and that the entire conflict was just for fun.
- Groin Attack: Loads of them with Combat Stilettos, and then Lilith does it with her teeth.
- I Hate You, Vampire Dad: Lilith hates Blake because he killed Platinum.
- The Illuminati: One of the major players in the film, complete with All-Seeing Eye insignia. They're being run by Blake and Lilith as part of their foreplay.
- Lesbian Vampire: Lilith is bisexual, with one of her more explicit scenes having her hook up with a Goth girl. She drains her and burns the body afterwards.
- Ms. Fanservice: Lilith Silver the rubber catsuit clad vampire assassin.
- Our Vampires Are Different: Vampires are perfectly capable of going out in daylight, but their eyes are extremely sensitive to light, so they prefer night. They feed on blood, and take great pleasure in it, though it's not as much fun for their victims. Ordinary weapons can kill them, though there's a period of time after suffering what would be a lethal injury where they can fully recover if they feed. Decapitation, on the other hand, is instantly fatal.
- Off on a Technicality as Our Vampires Are Different: DI Price can't show that Lilith is a vampire so could have committed the various crimes he's investigating. It might have gone better if he didn't try to pin crimes from decades earlier on her.
- Removing the Head or Destroying the Brain: If a vampire is fatally wounded, they can heal from the wounds if they feed quickly enough. If they're decapitated, on the other hand, there's no coming back.
- Who Wants to Live Forever?: Vampires have to come up with some interesting pastimes to endure the centuries. Everything in the movie - the ancient conspiracies, the murders, everything that happens after the distant prologue - is a game Lilith and Blake are using to while away the years.
