- In the fake party video, Fred pukes into the microwave and the footage is repeated for a while.
- Protagonist-Centered Morality: Fred is morally ambiguous in his actions here in the movie than in the YouTube series. He stalks Judy who never knew he existed until then, seeks revenge against his classmates and Kevin, tries to steal a Pomeranian from a pet store, left his friend behind in the woods during his childhood and did it again when he saw him, and purposely makes everyone feel jealous with his fake party video after he says everyone else is “not invited”. To make it worse, he never faces any repercussions for these things, but rather gets rewarded for it instead.

- Tantrum Throwing: Fred throws a massive one when he learns Judy moved and destroys the entire living room in a hilarious screaming rampage, but cleans it up afterwards.
- Teens Are Monsters: As they are teenagers now, Kevin and his friends are this way to Fred and the other way around, as Fred is as much of a bully himself.
- Those Two Guys: Gary and Lorenzo, the owners of the pet store Fred tries to steal the Pomeranian were seen being always together.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Bertha and Judy respectively.

- Trash the Set: Fred does this to his living room when he learns that Judy moved away. Once he's calmed down, he is then shown clearing up the mess he has created during his rampage.
- Uninvited to the Party: Fred spends half the movie on a quest to find Judy's new house, thinking she's either miserable or in danger. By the time he gets there, he finds her having a party he wasn't invited to, meaning he accidentally crashes. After being humiliated by his bully Kevin at said party with the footage posted online to boot, Fred seeks revenge by throwing his own party and making it clear to everyone that they are not invited to his party. However, when it comes to his friend Bertha, he decided to invite her as she was the only person who didn't think the video was funny, and the two of them throw such a great fake party that it makes the rest of the school feel jealous and desperate to get back on Fred's good side.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Little Evan Weiss, Fred’s childhood friend who disappeared into the woods, comes out when Fred is in the woods again, happy to see him. Fred runs way from him in fear and doesn’t help him come back to civilization.
- You Don't Look Like You: The other characters look different here, compared to their on-screen appearances in the YouTube series’ Art Shift.
- With exception to this being his head and hairstyle, Fred wears a white-and-yellow striped shirt with jeans and white shoes. In the YouTube series he wore a loose blue shirt, sweatpants or shorts, and his hair was messier.
