Area 51 is a 2015 Found Footage horror film directed by Oren Peli (better known as the director of the first Paranormal Activity) about a group of friends who explore Area 51 in order to discover its mysteries.
Area 51 provides examples of:
- Alien Abduction: The aliens in Area 51 end up abducting the protagonists in their spaceship.
- Area 51: The titular location where the protagonists are going, in order to discover it's mysteries.
- Downer Ending: All of the protagonists end up getting abducted by the aliens by the end of the film.
- The Stinger: In a post-credits scene, the old man the group previously interviewed finds Reid's camcorder, which is still-recording.
