This work of fanfiction contains the following tropes:
- Cross-Dimensional Conflict: Digimon data accidentally enters the Pokemon universe's data storage systems, leading to the discovery of other universes by a villain team, then said villains fleeing their home universe for universes unknown, until they reappear in the third book, making trouble that the heroes are rushing to solve.
- The Fair Folk: It is mentioned by the Troubleshooters that Fairy types think differently than normal humans and pokemon.
- "Flowers for Algernon" Syndrome: When turned into Exveemon for training, Davis gets an intelligence boost and becomes aware of his actions and how he's seen. It ruins his mood when he later realizes that Kari doesn't like him in the way he thinks she does.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip:
- One issue the DSS Troubleshooter team was a digital lifeform copying Manaphy's Heart Swap power, switching pokemon's, and in one case Shawn and his serperior, minds.
- It happens again in "4-08" when HackBiyomon and Team Upload deliberately cause Kari, TK, Davis, Yolei, Cody and their partner Digimon to switch forms for a week.
- Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: Shawn and Serperior, a relatively average trainer and his pokemon, are this when they eventually end up in Earth at the Digimon side of the crossover, and found that they could do extensive damage, if not destroy, Tokyo simply by boosting plants with Grass Type Energy alone.
- Outside-Context Problem: Digital worlds and digimon, to the Pokemon side of the crossover, pokemon and Team Upload to the Digimon side of the crossover.
- Put on a Bus: Mimi and Palmon ends up going in a contest circuit in the pokemon world later on.
- Trapped in Another World:
- 1-2 has the DSS team find a Gazimon that ended up being brought to the Pokemon universe through one of their artifical digial worlds
- Team Upload did this to themselves to escape Interpol and the DSS Troubleshooters, putting them in the Digital World during the events of Digimon Adventures 02, in the middle of the reign of the Digital Emperor.
