• Belos tells Luz how he can see her through the scrying potion to freak her out. Luz then plays the tuba when he's trying to sleep.
• While Luz and Amity initially decide to go to Paris while exploring the human realm, Luz realizes that flying at thirty miles per hour on her staff will take forever to make the thirty-five-hundred mile trip, so they decide to go to New York instead.
• When Hunter prepares for his first date with Willow, he spends an hour on his hair, forgetting he still needs to hide his ears, making it All for Nothing.
• The Collector possesses Luz, only to end up mentally paralyzed by her emotional state.
• Lampshaded by the title of this comic, where Belos realizes too late that by purging all the magic out of his body, the five magic users can effortlessly beat down on the now powerless old man.
• Belos possesses Odalia to fight the Hexsquad in an attempt to traumatize Amity. He completely fails to account for the fact that Odalia was an Abusive Parent that Amity had completely disowned and gets mercilessly beat up as a result.
• Eda and Luz are having difficulty getting Eda's couch back into the Owl House, since it's too wide to get through the front door. Luz gets the idea to pull it through the window upstairs. It works... but the couch is still too wide to fit through the doors.
• As Luz and Vee explain the glyphs to Masha, they become intrigued by the invisibility glyph and use it to slam a slice of cake into the cheerleader girl's face. Too bad for them that Luz forgot to explain that glyphs don't work in the Human Realm.
• Wanting to try out the new pride pins Camila bought from the local store after shapeshifting her form to see which appearance suited her the most, Vee is ecstatic and immediately asks to have it pinned on her shirt. It’s only at the last second did she remember that as a shapeshifting basilisk, her clothes ARE her skin. So she ended up needing to be bandaged up as she lampshades that crucial detail she forgot.
• This strip features Luz trying to get Amity to swim at a beach in the human world. However, the former never considered the logical conclusion to living in a world with a boiling sea:
  Amity: I Have never swam before.
  Luz: Yeah, I should have thought of that.
• Odalia attempts to kick her family out of the manor after the Collector is dealt with, but Amity points out that since the Emperor's Coven was just overthrown, the contract she has is essentially null and void. She then tries to threaten the family using her Abomatons, only for Amity to easily disable them. She predictably gets stuck face first to a tree in Abomination goo while the others take back the manor.
• To earn Lilith's freedom, the Collector lets King choose a game to play. King chooses Rock, Paper Scissors. They get through two rounds before they both realize this won't work since King only has two fingers, making it impossible to tell what sign King throws.
• When Luz and Camila learn of a dimension just like theirs that has no pandemic, no wars, and plenty of honest politicians, they want to move there with Vee. It's only when the Collector is about to kill that dimension's versions of Luz and Camila that the two rethink their plan.
• Alador builds a painting robot with the intent of selling it to a popular artist. The artist proceeds to explain why that would be worthless to him if he doesn't make the art himself.
• Luz develops a land speedbike ala Star Wars that uses several glyph powers to move. During a test ride, Amity voices how impressed she was... before asking how it stops. It then cuts to the pair slightly injured from crashing and Luz explaining how the updated blueprints include a pair of fire glyphs in the front of the bike to act as brakes.
• When Gus sees Hunter's teleport dash, he gets the idea to have Hunter run on a wooden loop-de-loop to see if he makes it turn like a treadmill or runs up the loop. He ends up smashing through the loop and breaking his nose.
• Out of curiosity, Luz decides to combine the infinitely-long Hooty with Eda's infinitely-spacious hair. This (somehow) creates a black hole that sucks them into a Hooty-faced Klein bottle floating in outer space.
• Odalia uses her spirit for menial tasks, continuously putting it down until it gets so fed up that when she asks if it would be smart to support Emperor Belos and the Day of Unity, the spirit sarcastically tells her to do so knowing that Odalia will eventually pay for all of her actions including mistreating it.
• In "Wings", Vee gets the idea to transform herself into Eda so Luz can ride on her back. Unfortunately, Vee discovers that having wings doesn't make her an Instant Expert. After she and Luz have a date with gravity (complete with Amusing Injuries seen later), the next scene sees Vee taking rudimentary flying lessons from Eda.
• In "Vee II", Warden Wrath clearly didn’t consider what the best way to contain a magic-eating shapeshifter would be.
• "Eureka!" sees Luz approach Hunter with the idea of of a Palisman that functions as a sword pommel instead of a staff head, only for Hunter to point out the obvious problem of trying to ride a flying sword.
• In "Video Game Physics", after Edric gives King a concealment stone so he can be inconspicous in the Human Realm, King asks if he can be taller. As Edric demonstrates, he can make King look taller, but he won't actually be taller, which is really jarring when he interacts with physical objects.
