Ziraldo Alves Pinto (October 24, 1932 – April 6, 2024), better known simply as Ziraldo, was a Brazilian cartoonist, caricaturist, painter, writer, colunist and journalist known primarily for his work with comics and children's books.

He began his career making comics with his best-known work being the Pererê series, which began in 1959 as a series of panels that the following year became a comic book series, and was considered the first Brazilian comic book aimed at children to focus on a character. After the cancellation of Pererê in 1964 following the start of the Military Dictatorship in Brazil, he moved on to making comics for adult audiences such as the characters Jeremias, o Bom and The Supermãe, until in 1969 he published his first of many children's books Flicts. He also became known for his strong opposition to the dictatorship, becoming one of the main people responsible for publishing the newspaper O Pasquim, which circulated between 1969 and 1971, being part of the political left.

In 1980 Ziraldo gained recognition with the release of the children's book The Nutty Boy which became his most popular work, becoming a franchise with other books, a comic book series, films, a play and a cartoon being made over the years. With The Nutty Boy he managed to popularize himself with children by serving as an educator and one of the biggest influencers is reading in the childhood. He passed away in 2024 at the age of 91.
