Steve Pemberton is an English writer and actor. He was born in Lancashire in 1967.Pemberton is best known for co-creating and starring in three cult comedy series for the BBC:
- The League of Gentlemen (1999–2002)
- Psychoville (2009–2011)
- Inside No. 9 (2014–2024)
- Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright (2025-2026)
Since the 90s, he has appeared in a wide variety of TV shows, films and plays, both comedic and non-comedic. From 2007–15, he starred in the ITV sitcom Benidorm, and in 2024 he was a contestant on Taskmaster.
