Mark Russell is an American comic-book writer who mainly works for DC Comics. He is best known for his 2015 reboot of Prez (1973), and likes to satirize societal issues in his works, Billionaire Island and Second Coming (2019) being examples. He first got known in the early 2010s for his books God Is Disappointed in You and Apocrypha Now, both of which were comedic takes on stories from the Bible (that latter being about non-canonical ones) accompanied with cartoon sketches.
