Elwyn Brooks White (July 11, 1899 – October 1, 1985) was an American writer. He was a longtime contributor to The New Yorker, co-author of the standard English writing manual The Elements of Style, and author of children's fiction.

- The Elements of Style (1959): William Strunk Jr. was the original author and published this work in 1918. White revised and expanded on the book in 1959.

- "Preposterous Parables—III: The Family Which Dwelt Apart" (1937): Adapted into The Family That Dwelt Apart (1973), which was narrated by White.
