Chris Appelhans is an American animator, screenwriter, and illustrator. He is currently known as the director of the Sony Pictures Animation films Wish Dragon and KPop Demon Hunters, which he won the latter for Best Animated Feature with main director/co-writer Maggie Kang and producer Michelle Wong at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards and at the 98th Academy Awards.
